Metalic paints

So, what metalic paints do you think are best?
I like GW metalics personally, the Vallejo alchohol based paint is exellent, but dries a bit quickly.

The GW metallics are good, but the pots are (still) not the best (I do use them though). The Vallejo GameColor metallics are good too.

I\'ve not tried the gamecolour paints yet, the colour choices seem to be very similar to games workshop.

Thats right but the vallejo paints are a bit smoother and have much better paint pots, they also have more pigments than GW paints.

Hurrah for Vallejo!

I\'ve just bought the game colour range from Vallejo, except the metallic ones. I think the GW ones are much better. Tend to use tin bitz and mithril silver.

GW\'s paint pots are a nuisance, but I\'m about to buy some vallejo style pots, into which I\'ll transfer my fave GW colours.

I have a pot of Vallejo alcohol gold and it looks real good (far far better than GW gold IMO) on someone else\'s mini I saw in a shop... I didn\'t try it yet myself, I\'m trying to get NMM down pat.

The Vallejo alchohol metalics look exellent, very shiny, and smell delicious!! I find some of them harder to mix than others, and they are supposed to need alchohol to thin them, which is a pain (I just use the medium from the top of the jar).

Haven\'t tried Vallejo alcohol based metallics yet, though I soon will. But between Vallejo game color and GW, I find GW the better. And I hate those pots!!! Vallejo Game color is pretty thin or thick or... it\'s weird, they don\'t lay down as much pigment but have a lot of carrier, so when you go back and lay down a second or third layer to get more pigment in place, they look a little thick. A bit of a contradiction I know but that\'s my 2 cents!
