Metallic paint without pigment?

Does anyone sell a metallic base without any pigment? ie, just the sparkly bits, without the color. I was thinking of a way to make a model glimmer a bit, and it occurred to me that using the glitter in a metallic silver without the silver, would be a perfect overcoat.

Or it might be a disaster, but, it's worth a shot if anyone makes this.

Have you tried Vallejo's Metal Medium? Its almost a pearl type colour aka metal pigment suspended (without a colour, i think) in a medium.

You could always try Daler Rowney's System3 acrylic Pearlescent Tinting Medium, which you should be able to pick up at any art shop.

I'll look into those. The vallejo one sounds like exactly what I was thinking. For the curious, I'm working on an SDE Glimmerdusk Ranger, and thought, well, she should glimmer somehow.

Thanks!

Yup, I'd go with the vmc metal medium too. Haven't tried the other stuff but that sounds about right as well

golden makes some excellent pearlescent products that might be helpful. i have mixed the medium body with other colors to create a sparkly undercoat before.
