Metallics and air brushes

Has anyone had any bad experiences/got any advice regarding using metallic paints in an airbrush?
While I\'m at it, what do you usually thin your paint down with, and what sort of consistency do you find works best with Vallejo type acrylics in general?
Thanks

just use vallejo model air metals for airbrushing.
they have a realy fine grind like gw metalics and don\'t need thinning for airbrushing :)

I\'ve used testor\'s model master with good results.

I use createx and auto air for other applications. I\'ve had trouble with some of the metal flake due to the metal flakes being larger than the airbrush opening. A couple of flakes stack up in the cone and you have to disassemble and flush to get everything working again.

OK, so I\'ll be using the VAir metallics, what about ordinary colours, can I thin with just tap water?

yeh man, just get it to a creamy consistancy and you will be fine (slightly thicker than milk)

Yep. Just to note you can thin waaay down and acrylic/vinyl paints will still tend to adhere quite well as long as you\'re not planning on handling the mini.
