metallics!

i was wondering i seen models that have the trim of the armer painted gold but its not metillic its jus a reguler color!does anyone know wut colors they use!???

Gold is usually made by using brown, and building it up to white. At least that\'s what I think :). That should give a good effect.

I paint my thumb.
One of the mosrt used recipe is chaos black- snakebite leather- Skull white. It also implies good placement of the highlights and extreme smootness of the blending.

Hey, while this is on topic.. I paint metallics but I often have trouble with trimming... here\'s a question; think nmm trimming would look silly on a model painted with metallics ?

nmm trimming on real metallics will look \"painted\".

i think it would look like your guy tried to make himself look more regal by painting his armour.

its pretty much all nmm or all true metallic.
