Last year they had a great show lots of guys came from europe and showed off their fantastic work. couple of guys even sold some of the stuff they brought. Anyway I would strongly suggest getting up or down to this show. I know many guys drive as far as 6 hours away to come to this show and others fly in from all over the world. Although the amount of 32mm is small compared to the rest it has been growing. Historicals and busts are very popular but i have been seeing more fantasy being added and the people at the show are responding well to the change. Saturday is the better day to see the show since there are more models to see. Also lots of vendors selling eveything from old toy soldiers to some of the latest castings.

So if your going give a shout I would love to meet some fellow painters.

Do you plan on bringing a bunch of your work to compete? Great stuff in your gallery hope to see some of it there.

I'll be going (and driving 12 hours each way :D ). I encourage everyone to come out - and bring stuff to display! It's a good time! So far, I know Matteo Murelli (aka Mù) will be there, but I don't know for sure who else is coming from across the pond yet. I'll post info closer to the show. Fabrizio Russo (rusto) is working on coming, but not for sure yet. One thing is certain, there is guaranteed to be some amazing work on the tables.

The show organizers are being very supportive of the fantasy side of the hobby, so we should support the effort and show up with some figures. :) You can come for just Saturday and still exhibit. You just have to have your stuff on the tables by noon. The awards ceremony is Saturday evening.

Another less well known thing about the show: there's a hospitality suite open to vendors and exhibitors on Friday and Saturday nights with free pop, water, and adult beverages. It's a nice time to hang out with other painters and sculptors and shoot the breeze and is open until everyone is gone, so usually 1 or 2 am-ish. Just ask at the admission table which room it's in and which hotel (there are two hotels attached to the convention center).

And, as Valley Forge National Park is basically across the street, it a nice tour/chance to get outside/walk/explore.

I would love to go, but I am in the Chicago area. Maybe next year they can have it out this way???..... "Wishful thinking"...

Hi Mikatu, the show is always in the Philly/Delaware area because the club (Miniatures Figure Collectors of America) that puts on the show is based in that area, and I think it will be at the same convention center for the next three years. It's a fun road trip. :) And a bit closer, there's always MMSI show in Schaumburg every October. :)

I have a list of guys slated to come. Unfortunately Rusto can't make it, but Ben Komets, Francesco Farabi (franciuus), Javier Gonzalez Lazano (Arsies), Diego Estaban Perez (dieguete), Mohamed Ait-Mehdi (Mohand), Alfonso Giraldes (Banshee), Kostas Kariotellis (last years Best of Fantasy winner), Michael Kontraros, Christian Hardy, Patrick Masson are planning to come. Quite a list, eh? :D There's a bunch of historical guys coming over too.

Mikatu, the MFCA show is a great show. If you can make it out this way one year it's definitely worth attending. But as Wendy said, the MMSI group puts on a show in Illinois. Check out their website for more information: http://www.mmsichicago.com/
