What he said.

He wrote what I consider to be one of the classic \"Hard Tech\" Sci-fi thrillers \'The Andromeda Strain\'.
Must have read that about a dozen times.

The Andromeda Strain was one of my first books to hook me into sci-fi. He was a great writer and will be missed.

In a very odd, and unrelated story, it seems that there was a mosquito caught that had last feasted on the named author last summer.

The mosquito is now in the possession of multi-millionaire John Hammond, who is very secretive about the nature of what he is doing with it.

Rumors abound that there is an island in the pacific that is populated with nothing but clones of the author. Nothing is substanstiated, but a spate of sequels have just been announced to many of Crichton\'s best sellers.
