Can I firstly congratulate the team at CMON on their decision to stock (restock?) the figures from Mierce. A great company with amazing miniatures.
Secondly, for those that have some doubts around the commitment of the team at Mierce, please see https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-a-world-of-war &
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mierceminiatures/darklands-first-edition their highly successful past two Kickstarter’s. All bar the werewolves’ group have been produced from the first KS (being sculpted as we speak) and postage wise almost completely fulfilled, the second Kickstarter was even more popular and those figures
Are scheduled to be sent out sometime in June/July.
There is another Kickstarter project planned towards the end of this month, KS 2.5, this will feature more units and even more monsters, which as you can see from their website and the figures now available (again) from the CMON store, aren’t too shabby!
In my opinion, hands down the best fantasy miniatures available. Expensive? Not really, all things being equal, I mean, you can have beautiful works of art for the cost of mass produced plastics? So ask yourself, but do you want a Ferrari or a Ford? A proper hydra or the GW joke?
Check out YouTube for various in-depth Mierce reviews, or the gallery here has a number of excellent painted mini’s. Bohun has painted a large number for a very active forum member, so please check out Sorns posts on the various forums https://www.dwarvenforge.com/index.phpoption=com_kunena&Itemid=37&func=view&catid=10&id=49738 for the amazing quality of not only the sculpts, but the paint jobs too.
Talking of sculpts, how do these names grab you? Allan Carrasco, Daniel Cockersell, Yannick Fusier, J.A.G, Tre Manor, Hector Moran.
The real best in the business sculpt for Mierce, I could also throw in Stephanie Simon, Benoit Cosse and Roberto Chaudon too. This is the quality of the miniatures being created and produced.
There are some preconceived ideas on this forum in particular, about theMierce association with a previous business, but the staff at Mierce are very very active on the Kickstarter pages and the forums, and the feedback from other backers, has always been the highest possible. Issue with a damaged or missing part? No problem,
Drop them an email and a nice piece wings its way to you with your next order or even on its own, all FOC of course.
Just run your eye over the pages of their previous KS’s to see the mutual respect, nay friendships, that have developed between business and backers.
If you can point to another Kickstarter campaign, hell even miniature business, that has as grown into such a devoted and passionate ‘game’, then I would want to join.
For those lucky enough to live in England, or Europe for that matter, then the Mierce team will be at Salute 2014. Pop along and check out not only the miniatures, but the game dynamics and the guys behind the company too.
Thank you all and see you in the Darklands!
