i got a few mig pigments and i was wondering whats the best way to apply them to models, i know there is undoubtably hundreds of methods, but if anyone could give a brief description of essential methods of application, also i have a bottle of acrylic resin, and any tips on using that would be much apreciated.

finally how can you protect the pigments from being rubbed off, because when i spray them with matt varnich they tend to come out with little dots, and i have heard of turpentine, can anyone give some info on it as i havnt a clue what it is.

any help would be much appreciated

What are you using them for?

One sure-fire method: don\'t touch the surface afterwards.

You can set powders in place with a number of different kinds of oversprays but it always tends to change the effect (usually negatively).

if it\'s for display then put it on a plinth, it\'s the plinth that gets handled then, not the model.

Brushing is good, but because a brush is so soft, it\'s hard to get some good depth to the colour, or if you want to do a hard edge etc. I would also suggest the small makeup applicators - the kind with a small sponge tip which you can apply a bit of pressure with :)
