Hi all, sorry in advance if this is a duplicate post,
I have been a long time lurker of these forums and have been inspired by some of the works displayed! So I thought I would start up my own P&M blog starting with my current project which is a T-55 by Tamiya. The T-55 is meant to look as though it has been recently retired and is slowly rusting away in a tank graveyard. Still have a way to go but it should be finished soon. C&C is welcome!

As you can see from this next photo, the entire running gear of the tank is yet to be painted, this will be the last thing I do!

I have also added some photo's of the Panther that I finished recently, not my best work but live and learn!

Aye, tanks rule! This guy gets it:

I love all the rust on your T-55, it's looking sufficiently varied and crusty. I'm a fan.

Hola everyone,
I finished the T-55 recently, well last week actually, but you get my point. Anyway, I finished the tracks off and rusted the gun barrel to make the vehicle look as though it had been sitting in a bone yard for a while. Not really happy with this one as I feel as though it is a little unrealistic, but live and learn I guess. Tomorrow I will update you all with my next project, which I am very excited about!

Milosh: Thanks mate!

Johnny: I would love to see the turbo tank when it is done, and I did have a chuckle about the rear end!

Onwards and upwards, I have started my new build!

When I went to the Victorian hobby center yesterday I only had one kit on my mind, and that was the Meng T-90 kit, but unfortunately for me they were out of stock. So I decided to have a look around at the new kits that they had got in, and boy was I pleased to see that they had Meng's new Leopard 1 in store. I immediately bought the kit and went home and started building, I finished all of the hull last night. After reading Chris Jarret's blog last night I was inspired by his winter leopard, and so I thought that I would also have a go at a West German leopard in a winter wash scheme. Here is where I am at:

I didn't realize just how big the leopard 1 was in comparison to Soviet designs of the same time period, as you can see the hull of the leopard is almost taller than the T-55

Sorry in advance for the crappy photo's that I have taken of the WIP leopard but I took them with my phone. Here is also some pictures of Chris Jarret's Leopard, just so you can get an idea of the overall scheme:

If the T-55 is in a boneyard there would certainly be no MG on the top, also I would expect other bits and pieces would go "missing"
The Panther has the "schmalturm" this would make it a ausf (mark) F - there is a possibility that they fought in Berlin - straight from the factory so would probably been unnumbered and just undercoated (IMO)
