Neat. The shading on the skin looks great. Are you doing some NMM with this one? I'm not used to seeing that from you. Very cool.

Thanks 10 and Bailey. Trying a bit of NMM for a change. I kinda want this guy to have a comic look to him. Not sure about the base treatment yet but snow is a good idea, I love doing snow and haven't done it in years.

I know, I know. NMM usually isn't my thing but it just seemed right for this guy. I should probably ship it over to 10 to have him do the NMM instead of me.

Haven't posted any pics in awhile but I have been painting some. Here is a cool little guy I have been wanting to paint for awhile. I'm going to miss JMD miniatures.

Glad you like this little fella, he has been fun to paint. Of course he isn't done yet but really close.

Here is a new guy I have been wanting to paint. He's close too and I will finish him.

COOL! i like this fella and i also like what you´ve done to him=) just one thing, he seems to blend in almost too well with the bg. maybe push the colors of the background into something warmer? really, you shouldn't change anything about the skin or cloths=)

you're right ischa, lots of earth tones there. I'll take a look at the scene tonight to see what I can do. Thanks for the kind words and suggestion.

Green/grey tones on the wood backdrop should be enough to alter the depth perception.

That viking dude looks awesome. You've done a real nice job with the shadows and highlights on all those folds in his clothes. Colors look great, though I agree with ischa's point.
