It looks like you resin'd the waters- which I know is HARD to do without bubbles and such. Also, the cogs are a nice addition. Would've liked to have seen the clockwork fish, but that'd be complicated. Still- Kudos!

Thanks guys for the comments on her. Chrispy; I wanted to do the fish but just didn't have time since I wanted to have her ready for the show. That being said, the judges didn't even judge her, they also didn't judge my Female Samurai. It was a very fun show though, but it left me a bit confused. On Sunday I awoke early and got to painting on this cool bust.

Nice bust and I like the way the steam punk diorama turned out.

Seems odd that you didn't get judged, but at least it was a good time.

KB and WGS, it wasn't that I didn't get judged, the judges picked a different figure to judge even though the female samurai was my best historical (IMO) and Kitty was my best fantasy (IMO). They only choose the best representation of your work to judge for a medal.

I got them both loaded to my gallery.

Thanks Tee, it wasn't a let down for me just a head scratcher. Speaking of the show, hear is a pic of the figures I took to the show (minus Pinky and Soum). There are also two figures in there that aren't mine, I traded my red alice for the female bust and my traditional Alice for the Pirate in the back left of the right panel of figures (lots of yellow on him). I hated to let my most recent Alice go but that Pirate figure is really cool, plus I have one more copy of Alice to paint and I'm never letting her go.

Thanks WGS and Moe. It's always fun to see them together like that rather than spread out in the display cabinet.

That's a neat effect. It looks like really aged leather, no - maybe more like dragon skin. Whatever it is, it gives it real depth, texture and interest and conveys a sense of ancient, but not neglected.

Thanks Zab and WGS, I haven't decided what the armor is made from, it is kind of a mystical material to suggest magic. I always love painting skin so the second bust is very fun so far. The next trick will be to find some cool pattern for his tattoos.
