And this big beauty showed up in my mail today. It is the 200mm Suzanne from Pegaso. I am thinking she will be the next project but I am a little nervous to start her since I have never painted a whole 200mm figure before, only busts. Should I dive in or wait?

You're kidding, rigth?! Of course you are more than able to do a 200mm!! With your attention to detail it will be a ride on the park. ;)

ok, thanks for the input guys, you all might have a little more faith in me than I have in myself because this figure is scary big. But I am going to go for it right after I finish my current girl.

Thank you very much!!

That's no lie wigdog, 200mm bewbs (borrowed from ischa) will be fun to paint.

Coming to the home stretch on this girl and not a moment too soon. I am itching to start Suzanne. I painted the white border of her dress on her chest and added some filters to continue getting her dress really smooth. Just a few more brush strokes and I can take pics and submit her to the gallery.

are you saying i had bewbs and you borrowed them without my permission?

...or is it just the term?;)

Thanks guys.

Krule; it is joust a rough shading with a random wash and quick highlites with lighter green and some browns. It is really just to break up the color of the grass so it doesn't look like carpet.

Ischa; Just the term, I would never move in on another mans bewbs :p

On a side note I started messing with Suzanne, I laid down the first basecoat and some basic shadows and highlite. I have got tons and tons of paint still to apply. I only blocked in the hair, lips and eyes just to get a feel for the skin color. What do you think of the base so far?

Good base tones May be the angle of the photo, but her right iris looks a little bigger than her left - again, likely angle.

Great start!

Can I ask the flesh mix for the base flesh?

Did you spray any of the colors?

Thanks wargame and wigdog for following along, she is a chore.

wigdog; I always wing it, all I can tell you is what colors Are in the mixes. Jo sonja burnt sienna, juane briliiant norwegian orange a tip of pthalo green and some raw sienna. Reaper sunny skin tone and vallejo basic skin tone. I just squirt them on the pallete and start mixing till I like it. Oh and plum pink is in there too but not much. Youve seen my mess, it aint pretty.

hopefully some progress this weekend.

Thanks again guys, I appreciate it.

Thanks Tryst and Kilted. Yes, her boobies are quite a bit larger than a lot of figures.

Wigdog; sorry I didn't address your question about spraying her. Yes I am using my AB on her for the basic. I am still very uncomfortable with it but I think I am getting better.

Well, last night was a bit of hard work on this lady. After I laid down the initial base coat and shadows I noticed a couple of pin holes. I decided to try out the liquid greenstuff I had just purchased to fill them. It filled them nicely but it meant I was in for an almost entire re-paint of her body. Here is where I got to last night on her. I didn't attach her to the main body yet, I'm just showing them together for reference.

Thanks my friend - the colors is exactly what I was after - I do the same thing, not doing ratios. Just mix till I get what I like. I haven't tried the airbrush technique yet, but am about to on my next project, but I do like the concept and think it is much better for the larger pieces. The skin looks really smooth.

I hate it when I paint parts and put them together - I always seem to mess something up, and hate to redo things! LOL

Keep up the good work and I'm back to the bench bro!
