I wouldn\'t bet that he wouldn\'t :)
Ugh, you\'re off the brushes and now your cat starts on them. You\'re bad influence! ;)
Ok guys, what\'s the worst tasting (but still non-poisonuos!) paint you know? That could break the cat\'s habit if it takes a liking to brushlicking. :)

This is an easy answer for me. It\'s all Anne Foerster\'s fault! She gave me a free one hour lesson once when I took a tour of Reaperland a little over a year ago. She was licking her brushes to keep her point AND wiping them on her shirt.

I don\'t do the shirt wiping thing for fear of lint getting on the brush, but I started the brush licking then to get my point (but I don\'t suck paint out, I use a paper towel for that).

A lot of my brushes were used for painting illuminated manuscripts, (prenentious way of saying SCA scrolls), and some of the minerals used as the pigments can seriously mess with the central nervous system. I try not to lick the brushes, but I painted the pantry Saturday and I couldn\'t help doing a once-over on my tongue with the roller. Eggshell paint doesn\'t taste anything like eggs.

I would have to agree... citadel paints have the nicest flavour, while valjello are just nasty... the owner of one of the LGS I go to looked at me funny when he asked me what I thought of them and I responded \"nice paint. tastes awful.\" I just figured he wasn\'t a dedicated mini painter :)

I\'m just happy that we brush lickers seem to be the majority.

Maybe it\'s delusions of grandeur from ingesting too much paint.:D

Not to rain on everyone\'s parade...

... but don\'t believe that your paints are non-toxic. Paint, almost all kinds of paint, is considered to be toxic. The lead may have been removed but they still use wonderful things like cadmium, barium, phthalocyanine, cobalt, etc. etc. etc. In most communities here in the states, you are not supposed to dispose of paints, any kind of paints, in the normal landfills. They are considered toxic waste.

Now, I have numerous disgusting and unhealthy habits ;) and am not telling you not to lick or suck your brushes if you want. Your choice of oral stimulation is your own and none of my business. However, I hate to see people go gleefully along uninformed and thinking that their paint is non-toxic. Pay attention to or ignore this as you will.

Lesson mode-off. Guess I\'ll go have a cigarette now:D

PS - Gee! With such cheery postings as this, I bet your all jsut thrilled that I\'ve returned ;)
