Mini cases

Looking to buy some tranport - cases/bags/suitcases for my minis. I can get hold of almost any line of producers. They need to be able to hold both single minis and tanks. Can you suggest some good ones.

I\'ve just been recommending Figures In Comfort cases to Roger Bunting as well.

I\'ve a couple of them and although they might initially seem to be expensive, they are not!. You have the options to select the sections that fit in the cases which is better than GW\'s One case fits all.
Plus they don\'t have \"GEEK ALERT\" embossed on the side.

And now a suggestion for someone not rolling in cash, Matty? :)

I think I did look at those at some point when I was thinking about finding a case for my entire skaven army. I googled a few suggestions for carrying cases and such and they were one of them.

I\'ll work out how much space my skaven actually take up and then I can decide on what I need. I will probably be going for a Figures in Comfort case though.

EDIT: I just checked the peli cases again and they\'re not actually as expensive as I thought. That must have been one of the other manufacturers I loked at. Still, the cases would be a bit awkward tohave to delve into them to reach the lower foam layers. They\'d be good for smal armies when you don\'t need a large case.

May be a little more expensive, but your figures ain\'t never going to get crushed, blown up or wet!

I can imagine Steelcults suitcase is a large Peli Case lol

For casual travel, I use a steel cookie sheet and rare earth magnets glued to the bases. For warhammer units on trays it works especially nice. No more assembling 6 or 8 units of 25 rats from foam trays.

I\'ve used tin sheeting and magnetic rubber which works well enough on the plastic models. It works a bit on the metal ones, although I can\'t turn the tray upside down (they fall off mid turn), not that that would be necessary if I use a case that carries the models upright. It\'s just my army is over 450 models. I\'ll probably replace the magnetic rubber with rare earth magnets for the metal figures. The same site I got the rubber from sells them.

Thanks for the idea, DR! I like their site.

I think I was one of the primary instigators in getting GW to sell their foam tray inserts separately. That\'s what nagging will get you.

I HAD a setup where I took those metal shelves that sit at an angle, and put several on the walls with the foam trays in them to store my minis. Worked great, once GW started selling them separately.

I only mention this as its great to see other companies selling these kinds of things so that we have more -and better- options.

I really like the options that site has. Thanks again!

Bought myself some rare earth magnets (Neodymium Magnets). It was a selection of disc of various diameters and thicknesses. I put the bag they were in on a movement tray to which I had glued tine sheeting, and when I tried to get the magents off they pulled the tin from the tray. I shall have to experiment as to which size I need. It looks like quite small ones will be strong enough.

The Figures in Comfort cases are along the same lines as the Sabol ones:

I have one of the Sabol cases (not the mark II), and it\'s been great.
