Mini Exchange #10

Got mine

A variety of minis ( 5) from SteelCult. My favorite is the vampire. As far as \"local color\", he included a military medallion from Iraq. Very cool. Has a place of honor in my finally-finished basement hobby room.

I am deeply entrenched with a group of Rackham Warriors of Stone. First work I have done in 2 years.....

stoopid post office. Sent back my package for insufficient postage. it wouldn\'t irritate me if I didn\'t ask someone to help me in the first place. :cussing:

Glad the minis got to you safely.

Enjoy the local colour, the stick of rock ( candy ) also I marked in the booklet where my house is on the pic, 2nd or 3rd page :)

Well hope you liked the minis, just wish mine would hurry up and get here already

One of the problems when your exchange partner is on the arse end of the world :D

Seriously though if they don\'t get there by Friday I would assume something has gone wrong and will try again.

Well I received my package from treide yesterday. It is way too cool:

No, your eyes do not deceive you, those ARE Boba Fett and his corpulent employer Jabba... old West End Games figs. The other guy is a colonist from \"Aliens\" with a facehugger on his face. All OOP, all rare  And I even got jelly, postcards, a cactus spine and a map of Arizona!

Hello NSA :D

I received your package today, THANKS A LOT !! :D

There are five cool miniatures most of them I haven\'t seen before, I try send a picture of them the next days.
Also included was a postcard from Canada that I really enjoyed :)

I will start painting the female-fighter with two swords the next days, I just need some inspiration for a base-design (I dont want to put this miniature simply on a rock, want something special).

Have a nice day
Michael

Got my package yesterday.

1) My personal favorite, an older GW beastman. I do love the older GW Beastmen and often wish I still had mine.
2) GW Kroxigar (or however it\'s spelled), interestingly enough I was thinking of collecting a Lizardman army for GW as my next project and this will fit in nicely.
3) Unknown undead/chaos marine type, has the letters HHG on it which I\'m sure I\'m familiar with but can\'t recollect at the moment.
4) Unknown sci-fi guy.
5) Possibly Ral Partha as I can make out \"RA\" on the bottem with a possible \'L\' after it but I don\'t recognize the figure which would be odd for me as I am very familiar with most of their figs.
6) My first Rackham mini which after hearing so much about them since hooking up with CMoN I am looking forward to painting.

Thanks a bunch Talonicus, this will be fun indeed.

To Bill:

Very sorry but your package has just left today. I was looking through my pile of unopened blisters for a specific one and just found it last week, this also coincided with when my wifie left on vacation for 9 days so I\'ve been playing \"Mr. Mom\" for the past week to two kids which is running me ragged. To make matters worse I had to send your package by \'Sea Mail\' as opposed to the air I wanted to send it but air mail would have been $26 (about 11-12 quid) which IMHO was way to much and surface mail was less than half that. On the plus side I think the package will make up for the sloweness but I\'ll shut up now so as not to ruin the surprise and I\'ll explain it after you get it. Oh yeah, I tried to find a postcard with local flavour but couldn\'t anywhere and didn\'t want to delay the package any longer but you do have some Canadian content (will explain later).

Patience. Remember that these minis are coming to folks from all over the world and a lot of folks have to fit this in to their work schedule. I only got mine out in the last week or so and only because I left work early :)

Yeah I know like I wrote to REV it\'s not like I need any more but I was looking forward to some interesting items from his area.I truly have enough minis to supply me for awhile.I\'m sure he will get around to it in good time.Hell I\'ve got moore projects going on than my wife can handle.lollollollolDD

toxc: I\'m happy that you got my parcel ok :) I tried to pick the most clichéd Canadian postcard I could find, glad you liked it ;)

As for you young ones... patience, padawans. The exchange is all about waiting - the anticipation of a gift not yet received. Kids with their video games and tv phones and whatnot, back in the day we would have had to do all this by snail mail! It would have taken months just to figure out who was sending to who! Uphill both ways!

Yes, young padawans Patience is a virtue.

And at least your mail only has to cross the ocean once to get to you.
