Well, I finally got around to painting up my Christmas piece from Onis Lair. It was a bit of a rush job in the end and I haven\'t got a good enough pic to post for voting but here it is anyway - Season\'s Greetings and all that :beer:
I dusted the snow scatter over the mini to try to get realistic patches (I may have been a bit overenthusiastic but it\'s not permanently based yet).

I\'m waiting with baited breath for my package, it could take as long as four weeks (in which case it will arrive by the 27th), but because it is hectic Christmas mail time it might take even longer and maybe I won\'t see it until 2007. Ah well, something to look forward to

Dangit! When I saw the newest post was by you I got all excited thinking the package had finally arrived! I see by your bio that your a bit of a youngin so I\'m really hoping it gets there before Christmas for a nice little Christmas gift. Then again your at the age perhaps when Christmas is a little less exciting, if that\'s the case then I\'ll remind you that it gets more exciting again as you get older. I\'m prolly more anxious now when I\'m 35 than I was when I was only 5.
I think about that dang package (and whether or not it has arrived yet) every fricking day! :drunk:

As long as it arrives I don\'t mind. If it\'s before Christmas, early Christmas present. If it\'s on Christmas, Christmas present. If it\'s after Christmas, late Christmas present.
it\'s a win-win situation - something to look forward to whatever the outcome :drunk:
Here is the first mini Ive painted that dougaderly sent me.. I have to say this is my fav of all the orc models so it wasa real joy to paint.

I received my package today and it is awesome!!
I got 2 Reaper Dark Heaven minis...
Gwyneth Roanmane Centaur (unfortunately the ankles are broken at the base, but easily fixable):
And Grondoom of the Bakarathi (sorry for the bad pic, I\'ll take my own photos ASAP).
I also received a lead? WW2? Soldier - awesome sculpt - with a few rubber flies
lol
And an Egyptian skeleton chariot, in about 25mm scale I think, also by an unknown manufacturer.
But best of all...
(that one painted by BrushGuy)... a Ral Partha Armoured Dragon!! Awesomest dragon ever

I forgot to post what i got from Funnymouth!
I recieved a pack of Ghouls and Ghast and the Ghoul Queen both from Reapers Dark Heaven line. Fantastic mini\'s, i love Reaper stuff, iv only ever had a Troll from them and i was impressed!

Yay, finally it arrived!
Now the explinations. Firstly I chose the lot partly based on the fact that every mini except the WWII guy is older than you. It\'s an age thing.
After meeting my obligation with the archer thingie and the WWII guy (non primed, new) I threw in the dragon because I don\'t really like painting them and I have a lot of them. I really think this one deserves painting and I think you\'ll do a great job and learn a few new things on the way (based on your voty minis your already quite good).
BTW, I got the WWII guy from Black Tree Design when I did a little studio painting for them a number of years back.
The centaur chick was broken before I sent it and I sent it because it was broken. I figured you could fix it (I have 3 of them), junk it, or cut it up at your discretion. Either way it\'s out of my hands now.
The skeletal chariot (primed it white years ago, I have 6 of them) is by RAFM. Since I couldn\'t find a decent post card you got this as your \"Canadian Content\", RAFM is of course a Canadian company and has been making minis since the \'70s. I say with some hesitation that this one is from the mid to late \'80s.
Other than that, I threw in some little granite rocks you could use for bases and some plastic bugs that I liked the look of 20ish years ago but still havn\'t used yet.
I sure hope you like your package (as it seems you do). Sorry for sounding so \'parental\' but I was almost as excited sending this as I am when my own kids open their Christmas stuff.

There will be an ME 11 -- I\'m willing to hold on to the reins for a bit and keep things rolling. I have Jan 21 on my calendar already and ideas for a few slight changes to the rules.
