Is this a converted piece or something that GW actually put out at one point?

I have a feeling it\'s converted

It\'s a Femme Militant figure as put out by GW\'s Black Library. They\'re a range of resin figures based on John Blanche\'s artwork. This one, I believe, is called Gallowglass.

I don\'t think it\'s converted. If it is then the conversion is fairly subtle.

There are some fantastic ones in that line too...but most of them are sold out.

Pythone and Mary Bones are two on my \'should probably start seaching for\' list.

http://store.blpublishing.com/storefront/store.bl?do=Odd&odd=femme&_do=List_Models&code=300544 that\'s the link for the shop - as everyone said - sold out unfortunately.

http://www.femmemilitant.com/ that\'s the link to the main site - a closer look at the mini and you can see some of the subtly conversion work... also how sickly good Jennifer Haley\'s painting is. :possessed:

well I just emailed them to find out if they will ever be put back into production. I don\'t see why not to be honest. They are really good figs!

I missed out on 2 minis I wanted.. but I was waiting for them to release some other ones I\'ve seen scetched. So I was disappointed... I have a bunch of the others though.

Haley is Haleys username.. :)

Klockenbooty If I recall correctly.
But the whole range leave me going \"Meh\" with a capital \"not outta my wallet\".

Am I in the minority of people who don\'t really like John Blanche\'s artwork even a little? :drunk:

Well then my friend you have no taste :p

LOL

Naa to each his own. I happen to like a lot of JB\'s stuff but I admit there\'s a few I don\'t care for. On the other hand Im not a big fan of say Louis Royo while others foam at the mouth for his work.

Well MPJ, Apparently I have no taste either.

Sorry but the sketches I\'ve seen by Blanche in the vast majority irritate me. The rapid untidy linework and slapped on painting just gets under my skin.
John Blanches work is to my point of view scrappy and I class it in the same \"field of dislike\" as Gerald Scarfe\'s work.

I suppose it\'s partialy due to the little bit of Art I did at school, where I looked (can\'t say studied) at length the works of some of the Pre-Raphelites, who\'s extreme fineness of detailing carries over to the exactness of our hobby.

I love Blanche! Not on a technical level but for the images he shows me. :) His images often spins my imagination...

Thanks for mentioning Gerald Scarfe. Never heard of him but the things I\'ve seen so far in my searching has been very cool.
