Mini Prep Question

Hey everyone,

I am preparing to paint the Huntsman mini I received from cfwheeler and I am having issues smoothing out the metal for paint. There is alot of ornamental type decoration on the armor and it makes polishing certain areas of the miniature smooth very difficult. Anyone have any suggestions on how to smooth out those hard to reach places?

I have tried using steel wool and files but maybe there is something else I can try. Thanks.

Try scraping with an x-acto blade.

Try 400 or 600 grit waterproof sandpaper.
Cut a piece and fold it and you have a nice sharp edge to get into the details.

I\'m having a similar problem right now with Saint Celestine (patron saint of mold lines), but I\'ve been having some success with 600 grit sandpaper wrapped around a toothpick though. It gets into a lot of places you normally can\'t but it takes a long time.
