High all. I\'m in Derby UK for the next few days, and I\'d like to pick up some minis while I\'m here, so anyone know any nice places to go mini shopping. Off to Nottingham one day soon, there\'s gotta be some independant shops around there right. Might go up towards Chesterfield too. While I\'m at it, Where\'s a good place in this neck of the woods to get hold of some W&N series 7\'s.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try Travelling man in the Broadmarsh centre Nottingham
They stock some Partizan Press and Rackham stuff

Other than that its mainly GW stuff (I am sure that shocks you)

Hope that helps

If anyone knows of any others I would love to know

Gee Dee Models if you need anything hobby related. Not so good for toy soldiers, but other supplies, it\'s awesome!

As for Travelling Man, did it move then? I swear I\'ve not been shopping in town for an age other to buy a Wii, and I just assumed that Travelling Man had shut down when I saw it had been removed from the upstairs of Gamestation.

hey hubbabubba. Unfortunately Chesterfield no longer has a games shop. Brian\'s shop, Excalibur Games, which you probably knew about when you were at the college, closed down some time ago. he still sells things from his lockup to someone who sells them on e-bay (Brian doesn\'t have a computer), and also a few things he sells at the gaming club. Even the bookshop, Peak Books, which sold some GW stuff has just closed down. The only place where you can get any gaming stuff, I think, is at the co-op and that\'s just a fairly small selection of GW products. As for series 7, the last time I went to the art shop they didn\'t sell them.

As for the W&N you could try a shop in derby called reams.

Its down the side of st. peters church. Not sure what brushes it has in but my 00 that i got from there is still working fine (however it isnt a series 7)

Went to Spirit games in Burton on Trent today, Thanks for the tip Beezlebrush, great selection from lots of different brands. If you\'re in the Midlands, I recommend you pay them a visit.:D

I know Chesterfield has an independent store in the Market Place just across from where Dixons used to be. They had a bunch of stuff last time I was there.

I\'ve not been in Chesterfield for a good 3 years mind but I * think * it\'s listed in the back of White Dwarf, last time I checked.

I used to work in Chesterfield BTW :D

I think you may mean Peak Books, which for a while had a comics/gaming shop round the corner. Both have closed down. There is a market stall (don\'t know which days it\'s there) that sells some minis. it\'s run by the guy who buys stuff off Brian, though he mostly sells it on e-bay.
