Mini tattoos (transfers, paint jobs .. etc).

Hola again folks. Questions abound once again so ... :D

I\'ve seen some fantastic miniatures on this site and quite a few of them go into detail doing tats and whatnot. Now some of them I know are handpainted (insert envious look here) but others are transfers which I\'m just now learning about and want some more information about.

On the transfers, I\'ve found that it is hard to find a source of mini \'tats\' as it seems GW was the only ones that ever put that stuff out, and unless you get it out of a box set or find someone selling some seperately (which I did thankfully last week ... woot!) it is next to impossible to find.

Anyone know of a company that cranks out stuff like this? Something beside the tried and true Space Marines stuff? :|~

Also, for the tats that ya\'ll are painting, do you use paint pens (heard about them recently) or just go with a small brush? ???

As always, any and all information or help is appreciated.

I-kore sells some blister with transfers that might be used as tats on some minis, but definitely, the GW transfers are much more useful (the brettonian and wood elves sets are quite good, but even the eldar stuff can be very helpful).

Personally, I use transfers for shield and banner designs, and thinned paint and a very finely pointed brush for tattoos.

I tried the pens, but found them awkward to use, though I\'ve seen some people getting beautiful results with them.

I do all the tattoos on my minis with a 3/0 brush and very little thinned paint on it. I never used any transfers.

I bought a pen a few weeks ago and it works good for me. But I only get a black one so I have to go back to the paints if I want different colors.
