I seem to be having a real problem with my pics at the moment ..
IRL the minis have nice sharp edges some subtle colour changes and allsorts of other bit\'s going on..
When I photograph and put on my laptop they appear fine.
After photoshop they still seem ok but as soon as on CMON the pics really suck..really fuzzy and a bit pixellated...
can anyone offer any criticism on my pics that can help please. Also does anyone have time at all for me to send them an unedited pic to shop and see if there is any difference...It\'s frustrating not worried about the scores would just like better pics for others to give constructive crit on the models ..Damn I\'d even send a model to someone to photograph for me if it\'d help...
cheers in advance for any and all advice.

CMON has a max width and file size. Use p-shop to get within these limits before you upload. Otherwise, CMON\'s software does it for you and it may not do as good a job.

Have just uploaded this one which is a bit nearer the mark had to take it down to 79% on PS to get to 502kb hope it get\'s through I\'ve had higher before and guess this could be a lot of the trouble.

Any hints on how to get the file size down but still save on 100% .?

I\'m gussing smaller image size?

I tend to show my images quite large as I feel it gives a more detailed look but I\'m considering dropping the size a little to tighten it up a little..good/bad idea??

cheers Airhead.

btw just booked a fishing trip in Thailand later this year going for the amazonian and asian species they stock over there Arapaima Red Tails etc..should be fun.

That one, I could chop another 20 pixels off one side with the crop tool. Alternately, there are levels of quality to save at (1-12 if I remember right) Step down one. A third option would be to cut out one of the views. Two or three are usually enough. But I personally much prefer a couple of views in one vote than several submissions of the same mini taken at every 30 degrees around it.

Now you\'re just being mean... :p
Good luck... new line on all the reels. Yes, it is expensive, but not as much as losing the fish of a lifetime.

File > Save For Web (in Photoshop).

Set to JPEG and drop the quality slider down to just below 200k. CMON only accepts 200k images - it\'ll compress them if they\'re more than this, so this could be the cause of your problem....

If you want to see more details, post bigger pics as well!

Thx to all of you - had the same troubles and i hope the next pics are coming out better after the upload. I am sure that they\'re under 200KB - if they\'re still crappy i should think about my way of painting.

Thx again!

I have noticed... that sometimes people get alot more \"Blank\" space than mini... cutting down on blank space and focusing on the mini might cut down, plus taking more pictures from more angles that are very focused and give us an amazing view of all aspects of the mini is awesome.
