miniature charity auction for tsunami victims

I had some time for painting and taking some pictures lately and so
I just
updated my website with two new miniatures: http://www.fantasy-
miniatures.de

But the most important thing is the charity auction I just started
to help
the victims of the tsunami in asia. I though the best I can do is
painting
miniatures so it was obvious to me to help by donating one. Because a
charity auction seems to be a little difficult doing it by ebay I
started
the auction doing it myself on my site. It is rather simple:
everyone who is
interested just mails me his bid. Highest bidder wins at the end.
Take a
look at: http://www.fantasy-miniatures.de/auction.htm

I hope a lot of people will get interested and I will be able to
donate a
nice total to the German Red Cross organisation.

I totally applaud this auction, but would it not be a good idea to show the current highest bid?
That way people would get to see the interest.

Argh, I did as large a donation as I possibly could and will not even get a beautifully painted mini in return :(
Why did you not do this earlier? Well, I\'ll just pretend it was for the joy of giving :p

My employer matched my donation dollar for dollar, so that\'s where I gave up the hard earned. But it\'s a good idea though.
