Hey Logan,

As I stated early on with this (you might of missed it, we\'ve had a few posts since then) you are more than welcome to participate this time around as well if you wish as I am taking in all the \'stragglers\' so to speak and trading with them one on one so that everyone gets to participate.

I get a few more miniatures to paint, but that just gives me an excuse not to be a complete twit and then I can say to the wife \'but .. HONEY! I have to paint .. really ..\'

I\'ll send you a PM here shortly and I\'ll add you to the list as well for the next time about.

On a side note, a small reminder that if you haven\'t gotten your miniature packed up and out the door already, you might want to go ahead and do that so that everyone involved has plenty of time to paint up their miniatures.

Officially February 1st is the start date of this miniature exchange, which is next Tuesday. Hopefully a majority of people will have their packages by then, though keep in mind, the mail system being what it is, and some of us sending back and forth from overseas, it might take a little longer. If you haven\'t gotten your package by say ... the 8th of February, you might want to gently inquire as to whether it has been posted so that if need be, another can be sent in its place (I\'ll step up to the plate and do this if need be) or it can be tracked down.

Again, this is meant to be fun, so don\'t stress over it, but be respectful of the individual that you\'re sending off to and try and see that he or she has a chance to participate properly.

That said, I\'m waiting in ambush for the mail man daily.

I recieved my packet from Aragons mate today and also sent mine off to Zora.

I got a Tau Ethereal and am loking forward to making a start this week.

Just got mine from Ipaintmini\'s. It\'s a very cute dragon and I have the perfect idea for a base for this one. :innocent:

Mine arrived today, and it was a huge surprise to get it so quick. Thanks Galante.

I now get the fun of painting Gnoblar trappers as well as a huge stonking Beastlord.

Now to get off my :moon: and send off the figure I have selected to Brother Tom.

Well, some good news at least.

Do you want to hear a story about how much of an idiot I am? No? Well, I\'ll tell it anyway :D

So, Mistake #1:
I have the minis to send, but start thinking about when to go to the post office. Since I take about a hour in the morning to go to work, and leave work when the post office is already closed, I start to get a little worried. This is always bad, because my mind has this habit of getting into \"panic mode\" for the smallest things and I end up taking all the wrong decisions.

Mistake #2:
I decide to check the post office\'s website to see the shipping rates to Australia.
They\'re very, very expensive! :eek:

Mistake #3:
I\'m a man of my word and have to find a way to send Paintingploddy the minis. Since I can\'t afford to spend so much money just to send a couple of minis, I resort to a cheap trick: I go to the australian GW website and place an order for Paintingploddy for a couple of minis. I break one of the most important rules in the miniature exchange, to send one of your own minis...

Mistake #4:
As soon as I press the \"submit order\" button, I realize that Paintingploddy is on the Paint Aid project!
I check the site, and check his assignment - the Gnoblars Trappers I ordered for him don\'t seem that cool now... I just hope that the other mini that went with the order is cool enough to make up for this.

Mistake #5:
Yesterday I skipped lunch and went to the nearest post office. I did this because since I\'m also involved in Paint Aid, I was starting to freak about shipping. When the lady there tells me that it varies from EUR 5.00 to EUR 7.00 I almost screamed!

So Paintingploddy, I\'m sorry for the gnoblars.
To the rest of you, I apologize for \"cheating\". Think of it as a rookie mistake. Next time I\'ll find something else to ruin this again :D

It\'s not a mistake, nor has it ruined anything. Not exactly dragging something out of the miniature stockpile of yours, but you did drag one out of Gameswork Shop Australia.

We never did specify \'which\' stockpile now did we?

Hopefully I\'ll get to the post office tomorrow morning and get it on its way, Saturday AM at the latest. Forgot to post pics before I packed it up, Lurch will have to do that when it arrives... :D
