Disaster

well I got it finished and am pleased enough with the results, anyway I was nicely getting along with the base when I left it to dry overnight it was a lovely affair with rocks and snow and a couple of scrap Necrons on it. Anyway went to bed and got up next morning to find out that the cat had decided to play with it overnight and it ended up in a pile of bits that was too damaged to repair.

Any way I have given it a very simple temporary base that will suffice until I can get another one done. For now though I have other projects to finish and this will have to take a back seat for now. :flame:

Next one will be in April. Right now, I\'m still waiting to hear from half the people who are \'participating\' as a good load of people haven\'t sent or gotten miniatures it seems.

I\'ve sent PM\'s out to everyone that is participating this time about, and I appreciate those that have taken the time to reply. Some I know haven\'t gotten them yet as they haven\'t been on, but a large majority have. Easy to see who \'logs on\' in the profile, so playing the \'oh I haven\'t been on in three weeks\' is kinda lame.

Anyhow, we\'ll see how this one goes before the next one is thrown up I imagine. It may be that people are just busy, might be that some people have a problem with me (not trying to be a nazi on it - I\'ve just tried to keep everyone up to date) or they have simply lost interest in this.

Do me a favor, if you\'ve lost interest, let us know, so I can atleast send a miniature in your sted so that someone isn\'t left out in the cold. It\'s rather rude in general to do that to someone when you join in good faith.

And as stated early on my TJeffers and myself when I pulled up on this one, if you don\'t bother to send, but you receive, don\'t bother joining the next one.

Thanks Wicanpony, I could use something to kill this damn cold (can\'t shake it for nothing!). If I actually took a hot Toddy though I would be sicker than a dog (the alcohol - doesn\'t sit well with me these days).

Nice work mick. As for mine... I\'ve basecoated part of him purple. And that\'s all To be honest I\'m a little intimidated by the detail on the mini.

Thanks Trev, made \'em with Woodland Scenics \'Water Effects\' just kept dabbing them on with a toothpick, letting them dry a bit then dabbing some more, & so on, a bit of patience was required

Anybody know these guys?

I finally got my minis from Praetorian. Geez, the postal service wanted them long enough, they were mailed on the 12th and I didn\'t get them until the 23rd (I would\'ve posted sooner, but my computer decided to be like the rest of the family and catch a virus! :|~ ). The only thing, I don\'t have any idea who these minis are, on the base slots are only printed \"Knight\" and \"Samurai\".

Here\'s a pic, anybody recognize them?

The Knight is form a regiment of renown called Avenging Knights of the Cleansing Flame by Citadel and here is a link to the stats for the unit

The other is a Samuri but I cannot tell from what year but he too is a Citadel mini you have been lucky getting two old minis like that.

Well, I hope Peter got his minis from me.
I sent them out at the begining of February via air mail, but I didnt insure it or get a tracker.

There was about 50 dollars worth of minis in it so I\'ll be bummed if it didnt get there.

If you\'re worried that you\'ll make someone look bad, just say it privately and we\'ll leave it at that and I\'ll step in as the surogate here.

As for my exchange mini, its still sitting in the blister on my desk. I barely finished my CCV entry last week and now I\'m in Germany for the week. Hope to get the \"before\" pictures up this weekend after I get home. I think I\'ve decided to give the space marine a go. I understand that its almost mandatory that everyone paint at least one space marine ... lol
