I wholeheartedly disagree with pushing back the deadline!

because there are some of us (me) who were too slow and not bright enough to get involved in this first one, and want to get involved in the next one!!! :~(

it\'s just one mini, think of all us poor, stupid, slow people left out in the cold and get painting!

OKok, honestly I can wait, sort of... ;)

Eh, I say keep the deadline (January 15th) for the simple fact of procastination. Me, I\'ve got three of them that I\'m finishing up and working on because I KNOW the deadline is a\'comin.

Well the original idea I had for this one has had to be shelved as I simply do not have enough time to something on the scale I intended. This is the foot version of Prince Imrahil that I got in the blister from Doughnut.

I am quite happy with it so far and am looking forward to getting this one finished as I think it will look cool if it goes as planned.

Not much informations about him, here\'s the page from the Citadel Miniature catalog 1988 (taken from The Stuff of Legends):

The miniature is part of the Adventurers set (Number 16) and I think is pretty rare (never seen them around)

Crypt Worm ...

Well, atleast some of my procrastination is over. I\'ve finished up my required \'one\' miniature although I did recieve three from Jahecker and I\'m going to do my best to finish those two up here in the coming week.

Anyhow, fairly pleased with this one actually, though the picture doesn\'t seem to do it any real favors. Based this Crypt Worm from Mage Knight Metals on a cracked flagstone resin base from Epicast. Pictures don\'t show it very well so I\'m going to take a slightly higher angle on the next set of pictures. Probably put it up for vote here soon.

Was completely uninspired by this miniature until I sat down and really started on it, then \'purple\' just jumped out at me and away I went. Quite enjoy it, even though I know its not up to standards of many. First time messing with a gradient background and lighting ... still have to work on a proper photobox.

I like it!
And the background looks great. I agree that there are still some shadows, a result of insufficient lighting, but it\'s already looking good.

Alrighty, here is my finished product for the miniature swap. Quite proud of it and spent a good hour or more taking pictures and dithering with photoshop in figuring out the gradient background and such.

Anyhow, here is the link and the picture. I posted it in the Submissions area but since we\'re supposed to give our final bit here I figured I might as well - apologies for those of you tired of looking at it already.

That worm is a beauty job FF. It makes me want to roll up a dungeonieering character again:D
That space faring classic GWmini is very rare these days- very cool. Stuff of legends is a great site for diggin\' in the archives.

Very cool work there! I\'ve finished mine, but need to reorganise my painting table for a major photo shoot (got lots to do)and before I can do that I need to finish sculpting my VIP model. :D

FF I like the worm the colur is perfect for that creature.
I should get a pic up of my completed piece by Saturday (hopefully).

Great job on the worm guy. I have another of these based and primed, but wasn\'t sure what color scheme to go with. I very much like your choice. Execution is very good as well. Kudos!

back from vacation...

well im back from vacation. YAY!
and apparently my mom decided it would be nice to clean up before we all left. so she moved all my in progress minis into a little space. while doing that she chipped em all! :mad:
grrrrr
luckily we still have 16 days right?
oh..and when will the next exchange be? will it have a theme?

Well lets see, we have the deadline set for the 15th, hotly contested granted (have we come to some sort of conclusion on that?), and after that I assume there will be a bit of \'spare time\' to get all the miniatures posted on whatever website they are going to make it onto as well as the general back slapping and waiting for any slackers in the wings.

How about we set the next one up for the first week of February, giving everyone time to find a proper miniatures (and for the slackers to catch up ... see a theme here? - heh) and have it run for six weeks which would put the deadline say around March 15th.

As for a theme, I personally would love to see one, though by no means do we have to as I think we had a good assortement make the rounds this time about.

Possible themes, and I\'m being rather generic at this point, could be, Fantasy Humanoid, Sci-fi Humanoid, Critter-Creature-Eggads its going to eat me-Monster. Only male, only female ... you get the idea.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

for themes i was thinking more fantasy only or sci fi only or creature only...as to not put on too many restrictions.
