Miniature Exchange #2

I would like to start an exchange. I have tons of minis...and somethimes I think it would be a cool thing if a group of us joined together and each sent a minature to the next person. That person would in turn have to paint it to the best of his/her ability and then post pics. We could send off our crappy minis, ones that do not inspire us, or a real gem we have two of....it would be fun to see what you got \"stuck\" with. Anyone interested?

Hmmmmmm it has potential I know that I have hundreds of minis stockpiled throughout my house.

I\'m interested, what size minis are we talking here? This sounds like it would be really fun. I\'ve just gotta find a mini to send away .

Yeah, that could be fun. I\'m not a die hard collector of minis, so I don\'t have a huge stockpile, but I\'ve got some that I know I won\'t be painting.

I\'m in. I have probably 50 pounds of lead in my basement that will never see a paintbrush unless we do something like this.
Sounds like fun!

THE EVIL PLAN

The plan would be to open this up to folks for a few days....already looks like we will have a good group of us. After the sign up is over, I will put everyone in a drawing....you\'ll have to trust me....I will draw out names and notify you of your victim...er...uh....person. You should send a mini to them....you will get one from someone else in the group.

ONLY COMMIT IF YOU ARE SERIOUS...it would suck to send a mini and not get one in return.:flame:


Then we paint and post....

Sounds good but shouldn\'t we figure out who sends a mini to who by geographique location. It would save on shipping. I know shipping for a mini isn\'t that much butif we can cut down on shipping charges why not do it.

True and we can do that if you all like...I don;t mind paying to ship something overseas but we can do that if it is eaiser....the goal is to send something odd that the person getting it might not have seen...at the same time...you can rid yourself of a mini you hate or are uninspired by....or you can be a great person and send them something killer you know you won\'t paint or that you have two of. And the scale can be anything....i mean if you really want to send me a forge workld Titan...have at it...lol The fun of it is the suprise and what the person does with it....conversions are totally fine, painting it as is is fine. Sound good?

I think those who are in on it should agree on sending something that is at least mildly interesting. It wouldn\'t be fun to get a high elf spear man or something. But, count me in! I\'m in Sweden just so you know...

THE GOAL

The goal is to send seomthing interesting....something not common....I have tons of old minatures so my person will likely get a \"gem\" We don\'t want to screw the other guy...we just want to make them go....huh? Well what am I going to do with this? It can be a good mini....and of course sending a GW plastic goblin with spear would be in bad taste.lol

Sounds like an interesting idea to me. I second the notion of sorting by geographical location. I have a load of minis I won\'t get around to painting. I\'m sure I can dig something interesting out of my stockpile!

I think one at a time is enough. You\'re supposed to paint the mini and post it and I assume everyone already have loads of minis to paint anyway... I know I do.

I would gladly be a part in this too, but I don\'t have a real \"gem\" as such. However I would gladly go through my stockpile and send one that failed to arouse my interest. Um, that sounds strange, but you know what I mean
