I think it would be a great thing to send the minis back after having painted them. That would also ensure that you can send any mini and know that you will be getting it back - if you need the commander for your army painted but don\'t really want to, send him away

By the way, I painted mine myself, just to forego accusations :duh:

hey frenchkid I am 37 does that make me a coffin dodger?
I do have plenty of oop minis but I also have plenty of other stuff as well.
So whoever I end up posting to should be very happy with what they receive (hopefully that is).
I just want to say one thing though, and that is that my post is dire at the moment and very little seems to be reaching me so either recorded delivery or something like would be a good precaution, I of course will do the same that way there is some guarantee of the item posted actually reaching its destinaition.

I think we should keep the mini that we paint. The idea was to give away something you don\'t want and that someone else might want. If, by chance, I would receive a mini that I actually like and then spend a number of days painting it, it would feel weird to send it back to someone who didn\'t want it. I also have a hard time parting with minis I\'ve painted. I have contemplated selling on eBay, but I\'ve never been able to let go of anything...

Just been looking through some of my stockpile and yeah I got some stuff I think will do nicely for the exchange.

the only trouble with sending the mini back is that some of us will have to pull our fingers out to get them painted (i know i\'m guilty - although i don\'t have a real painting space at the mo)

I like the original idea of sending the mini for someone else to paint and then they post the pic. If I was to get a mini back from someone who was a lot better at painting than myself I would feel that I had cheated that person by sening back a poorer quality mini.

As I started this mess....The orginal idea was to send away a mini that isn\'t necessarily bad...just uninspiring t you....or one that you have two of.....or if you feel generous...heck if any of you want to send me the limited edition Partha? chaos dragon of a few years back feel free

You get to keep the minature....and you give away the minature you send forever....

Now with that said...if this goes good we could do a random switch and send it back to the owner next time.....

How does this all sound?....you pick one and send it away forever....they paint it, post it, and you do the same with the one you get.....Did I clear it up? Is that cool with everyone?

sadly, i have no unpainted minis
i had a party where i tried to get all my friends into miniature painting and gave em each a mini to paint.
