Glad to see people are getting stuff and getting started. I am looking forward to getting mine....whatever it is. :)


Feel free to convert, trick out a base, or whatever to your mini...though it would be real nice to have a before and after shot for the website. :)

Have you noticed that many gamers and painters are generous people. Everybody is willing to share secrets of the trade and minis as well....

And yes we are going to do this again....we have talked about themeing it next time. Like all reaper...all fantasy....etc.

its a Basilisk that loves Double cheeseburgers and M&Ms (yum) at least thats what the note in the package said ;)

its so cute! and it will be my first aminal/creature type thing!

for a theme...

choosing either fantasy or whatnot might be easier then choosong a specific manufacturer...since i cant really get my hands on any reaper stuff or rackham stuff just yet.
anywho..i hope to have a wip pic posted either later tonight or tomarrow!

I think if we do themes it should be something along the lines of:

Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Critter-Creature .... that sort of stuff. Dwarves, Elves, Human, Fighters, Wizards ... etc.

Simple, wide open, but in a general theme overall.

Received today my mini and the gift :), thx praetorian the mini is interesting and challenging, but i must say that i\'m very tempted to paint that plastic jabba the hut you gave me :D

Got my mini from Doughnut this morning I don\'t know what you were worried about I am a big LOTR fan and this mini has been on my \"to buy\" list for ages. Right off to the workstation now to start prepping up.

Bad news - your package returned to me.
Good news - your package returned to me. This is good as it was returned due to the post office getting some sort of gunk all over it and not being able to read your address. This is good, because mine was readable enough for them to return it.:wow:

It\'s going out again tomorrow.

I also missed this, even though I lurk alot in these forums. I\'m banging my head against the wall because it seems really funny. :(

If there\'s a next time, I also think that not restricting the mini to a specific manufacturer is better. From where I\'m from, I have limited availability regarding miniatures (read: GamesWorkshop :D).

I love it when a plan comes together.

I have spent a long time thisafternoon looking and sketching what I want to do and I have come up with a plan.

@ TJeffers you mentioned something about posting before and after pics, should we do it here until you have the separate page/site set up?

Thanks Jahecker, the package came in today!

Of course, whatever you\'ve got in OH that came with the package immediately set my allergies to overload, I sneezed for half an hour, my nose is an open faucet and my eyes are red rimmed and burning.

But hey, I\'ve got the mini\'s!!!! lol

I\'m one of the lucky ones that didn\'t get a cheap bastard like me (heh - I sent only the one ....) and ended up with a Hobgoblin Adept from Chainmail as well as a Crypt Worm and Werewolf from Mage Knight. Links below.

At last it letting me post a reply. Anyways posted paintingploddys minature on monday (only £1.37 from sunny england all the way to australia). I think I might have received mickc22s today but its was a recorded delivery and I was\'nt there to collect:(. Just finished some legion of the damned for some guy so i\'ve got some time to spare which is nice.Bring it on:D.

Got Mine

Well I got mine. A very nice Space Orc in some mega suit with a very cool rocket. I did not have him. I have painted orcs for others but never for me. I had thought of starting a small army of them and here is my chance. I am going to get working on him. I already have plans for the base and everything.

she still needs work on the hair and shield..and base and..so on..
anyone know how to paint better looking blonde hair thats not all crappy yellow?
i am quite impressed with myself seeing as how the highlights you see on her leather(ie breast area) is painted on not the cameras doing!
came out nice and smooth! yippee!
