WOW! Seen a pic of the rock elemental before, haven\'t seen the other, these are GREAT! The elephant is just too much -- looks much more chaos than godlike (\"Good Gods Gone Bad...\") --I gotta set some of these! Muchas gracias!

btw, I can\'t figure out the PM thing either......

For ME#1 I sent just one mini I think to Mickc22 and felt a bit tight when I got my return packet, then for ME#2 I asked Zora for a preference and was told that their preferance was female minis so I sent a box set of female warriors from the Excelsior range, I think basically just send what you feel your painting buddy would like best to paint send whatever you like but don\'t expect to get the same back it is a bit like lucky dip that is what makes it so much fun.

Also, are plastic mini\'s ok? I havent gone through my pile yet but I was thinking of maybe sending a sprue or two of warriors (4-6 models +bits depending on the type per sprue) or a 40k IG Sentinel or something.

I assume yes, but just asked because several posts mention pewter or metal figs. I\'ll probably wait to see who I\'m sending too first to see if they post a suggestion or I can check out their gallery as was suggested.

A sentinel would be VERY generous, but don\'t feel obliged to send something so big. That makes it quite expensive to participate, and reduces the chance your recipient will get the thing painted in a reasonable time. Heck, I\'d go so far as to say \"avoid sending model kits, vehicles etc\". If you send a sprue... don\'t necessarily expect to see the whole bunch painted up a month later. Some of us have poor to nonexistent ability to paint whole units :D

\"Send some minis, receive some minis\". That\'s all it is. If we start trying to outdo each other, we\'ll only turn off our younger and/or more financially challenged members. But if you really WANT to send two, three or more minis, go ahead. Generosity is still a good thing :)

QuietiManes, plastic is just fine though NSA summed it up pretty good. Pewter, lead, resin or plastic, it\'s all good.

basicly you send just a mini to another person thatr you will most likely not finish anyway and everybody posts the product?
can i still participate from germany? :)

Yup, that more or less covers it Joshua. Got you on the list. Everyone has till the 15th to speak up and then I\'ll post partners.

Still have quite a few on the list that haven\'t responded. If you are on the list and plan to participate, please give me a holler as those that haven\'t, I\'ll remove on the 15th so that no one gets hijacked into something they didn\'t want to be part of.

OK, I got it. I\'ll wait til I\'ve got my partner and base my choice on that. If they are an incredible painter (top 100) I will try to challenge them. If they are a beginner I will send something simple yet interesting. Anything in between I will go by personality and availability of sculpts in their area.

Oh, and if I get Marineboy I will send him a customized elephant.lol

Ya know... I think I think too much... (sigh):rolleyes:

I am looking forward to this again as it seems ages since I finished the last one, I am sure I can find something that will be of interest to whovever I get as my painting partner.

I love doing this....I think its wonderful to get out of your comfort zone and do something challenging...

I love making up storys about the mini i send out...like for valloa i sent a little dragon that was an orphan...and liked mexican...sent adoption papers and everything

Its fun because you also get to learn alittle about other CMONers that you wouldnt know otherwise...

and i get new stuff....

but as i said before, im in! i can ship to anywhere if need be, but would prefer to ship within the USA.
