If you could add me to the list I’d be grateful.

I’m based in Kent, UK and am willing to send anywhere.

Cheers

Will happily join in again. Have almost finished my mini for ME#2 as well. Still live in Helsinki, Finland. :flip:

Ok, ok, I wasn\'t going to join because my mini for #2 is still a WIP, although still progressing and should be done one of these days, it\'s been a very interesting challenge (I think I have a big Rackham painters block that I really need to get over!). But since that doesn\'t seem to be holding up anyone else, I\'m in!! if there is still time?

Well you\'ll get a message from your sendee or FF probably.

Took me a while to work out the PM thing too, go into messages and there in a little box somewhere at the bottom enter the name of the person you are sending to. Easy :)

Mini Swap Image Hosting

Hi all!

I mentioned in a previous post that I would be willing to work on a way of hosting the pictures for the CMoN mini swap. Well, over at www.findaminipainter.com its all ready!

To use it, youll need to be a FaMP member. From there, you can upload pics to your Mini swap gallery and it\'ll keep them nicely organised on one page showing the progress of your work. In order to reduce the likelyhood that someone might use this option to host pictures that don\'t belong as part of the miniswap, ive increased the limit on the number of images you can have on your personal gallery to \"as many as you like\" :p . At the time 0f writing this, all your images will be shown on your profile, but ill be reducing that to 5 images plus a link to the rest to conserve a little space.

In the mean time it could use some testing so please feel free to upload random images to it, and let me know if anything goes wrong. At 5pm GMT on the 15th April (assuming nothings gone horribly wrong) ill be clearing out all images that were used to test it ready for the start of the miniswap. (remember this is testing, dont upload anything you want to stay on FaMP).

Oh, something that is missing is the ability to add comments and leave feedback for the images (no scores here), and that should be ready for tommorow.

See Y\'all!

FaMP test image

Just uploaded a test image. Just curious, when I first went to upload the pic, there\'s the page and it has a place for \"Mini name\" and \"comment\", then I had to click the \"save\" button to get to the pic upload area, which also had it\'s own \"comment\" section.
Anyway, after uploading, I noticed nothing I wrote in the first \"comment\" section appears anywhere around my pic. So why is it there and what happens to what I write there?

Also, it\'s the comment, not the Mini name which titles it when I went to the pic through the \"CMON Mini Swap 3\" link under the Navigation side menu. I mean, as a thumbnail, the correct title\'s there, but when I got to the big picture, the title area (the brown solid line above the pic) had the comment in it. That\'s gonna be a long title if somebody writes a lengthy comment!

Well, everything else seems OK otherwise, or than my \"what comments go where?\" issue. Thanks for doing this, ilynx!

I dont think this is really a problem so long as you are moving forward with the mini. A date, after all, is kind of a moving target without a competition or a commision really.
As for myself, one of the minis sent to me for ME#2 is 98% done and should be posted this weekend hopefully.
The other two.... well... they are still in the blister.
But SOON, I promise...

Thanks for pointing those things out duende!

The first comment should be displayed when you browse through everyones minis. Its just a chance to say who you got it from and give some initial impressions on the mini.

Each photo can then have a comment with it saying what you did etc. at that point. I havent the time to sort these things out now as im off to work shortly, but ill have them done by tommorow.

Thanks again!

[EDIT] Change of polans.. ive done it! [/EDIT]

well the gnoblars just got here... so when the first person gets there box lemmie know and il\'l start them then!

So should the mini(s) be new and in a package or can they be something out of the package. If they don\'t need to be in a package then can they be something that has been stripped? I hope that this is not a dumb question. :D

@ Drake - I think from what FF said earlier, the barer the better. I have a couple of old ones out of box that I might send, and some random boxes or blisters that I picked up over the years that are sitting and collecting cat hair.

Ooo...that reminds me. I guess when I find out who I\'m sending stuff to, I should find out if they\'re deathly allergic to cats or something. In which case, I guess I have to clean things really well before sending. :p

Dang cats. My newest mini has some neat texture now because of floaties falling on it.
