I received my minis today Becca! They are great. I have no idea which one to paint first... any preference :D?

BTW the \'extra\' gift is driving my cats crazy. Can\'t wait to see what the D&D group says this weekend... \"And now for the monsters die...\"

Angus - I have not forgotten about you friend. I have been under the weather and lacking in transportation. Both issues resolved, so I should hit the post office on the morrow.

Everyone should have heroes. My heroes include famous scientists and artists - men and women of passion and principle who have enriched our lives in countless ways.

As of today, my new #1 hero is Anatora. This arrived in the mail today:

(links to bigger pic)

Holy smokes, I don\'t even know where to begin! They\'re all so interesting! ReaperCon 2005 Sophie (upper right) would be a good choice, but Jain Zar (upper left) or the spooky RAFM \"Cabalistic Angel\" (lower right) are also particularly enticing.

Nice haul NSA! Amazing how much stuff some folks have to give away on mini exchanges sometimes, huh? :D

@NSA Glad they arrived. Second package on the way. :) The unbagged knight is home cast, but thought you might do something with it since it has lots of blank areas for free hand embellishments. The little guy in the baggie is the DragonBlood pirate ( I forgot to mark it), and, of course, the obligatory WarZone mini. Enjoy. All deserve someone to love them and give them the attention they so richly deserve.

Anatora - that knight\'s home cast? Wow, what\'s the mold based on? Your own sculpt? Also, it\'s funny, I was just re-reading the \"post your workspace\" discussion and came across your promise to send out Warzone minis :D The pirate will fit in nicely with my 7th Seas pirates. I see he is a Garrity sculpt! :)

NSA, No, wish it was my own sculpt, but the knight mold came with some casting metal we bought several years ago. I particularly like the larger minis and have a fondness for dragons and knights, so cast several of these. Yes, any poor soul from CMON who pulls my name out of the hat will have to suffer with a WarZone mini as long as they last. For the pirate, I love the minis from Eric\'s DragonBlood line. I had to buy extra bodies to match the extra heads that came in the package so wound up with a mini body for each head. Thought you might like the \"undead\" head.

@ Equus - Yes, since I own a game store, I have more minis than time, so I believe in sharing my personal stash. Maybe next time, I will get your name and YOU can have a WarZone mini, too :D

@ Anatora - Yes...I vaguely recall the thread that NSA is talking about and the horde\'s o\' minis. :D On my side, usually whoever I end up sending to has to put up with small armies of WotC minis. lol

Tonight I came home form my gaming night to find my box from wiccanpony. I must say they are real jems. quote: ...\"we have a OOP Grenadier Fire Dragon from the first dragon-of the-month series, then a lovely Spyglass mini, Anastasia: The Vampire Bride.\" Thank you sooo much:D:bouncy::D.

Its a good thing i havent had a chance to send my stuff out yet. Now I have to rethink it.:p

My miniatures arrived today. There was no note or name with it but it could only be one thing... my ME miniatures. I\'m still speachless... Saying I love them is saying it mildly.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I\'ve been wanting to have these for quite a while now but was never able to do so.

And now I didn\'t get one out of the set... no I got 4 from the first Parkinson set.. And among the best ones at that (especially have a weakness for the falcon lady... loved it the second I saw it online)

Tom Meier sure is a hell of a sculptor. Holding them in my hands and seeing the actual casts for for the first time I\'m astounded at the amount of detail and refinement. Let\'s just hope I can do them justice with my paint...

Yes, very nice. I\'d seen the Elmore based minis before, but not the Parkinson ones. Might have to look into getting it. Or at least adding it to the list of \"things to get\".

@ JimG Your mini\'s went out in the mail today. I hope you like what I sent you. Hopefully you sould have then next week, but don\'t hold your breath, as I am not sure how long things take to get through customs.

Excellent

Thanks,

AND... I sent mine off to Calavera yesterday. Funny, but it was only $2.00 more by air than by land to Iceland.
So here is my question. How the hell do you send mail by land to Iceland?

Only Canada Post could do that.

Also I hope you don\'t mind Calavera but I only had one mini still in the pack since I usually discard packaging immediately for space. Also I included a wide range of new versus old, including 3 that were from the 80s.

I am keen to hear what you think.
