@Dragonpaint - one trick to painting good lines is to go back and \'trim\' the lines with the color surronding it. My hand is not as stead as I would like but trimming does help. It\'s hard to get it right on the first go when something is that small.

Not really if you knew how many kilos on metal I have....
I was just cleaning out some stuff, and I think of the unit as one thing.

Hey, Markus, is that the address that LP gave you for our house? \'cos if she did, she gave you guys the wrong zip code, which would explain why we never got anything

Yes have to agree with Martyn there the grey cloak is excellent. It realy makes the whole model for me though the rest is well done too.

Sorry for the double post but here is a quick update on my Morbid Puppet from Sakura, sadly this will probably be the only one of the minis that will be finished by the deadline but we will see.
Anyway here he is,

I am trying NMM on this one and have to say that the photo is encouraging to me as I did not think it looked that good in person.

While we are on the subject of Morbid Puppets...

Here is the one I received from NSA for the ME3 exchange.

Skeleton2.jpg

It took me forever because I lost his left foot and had to make a new one. You can also see two other veiws in my gallery Here. Please look, comment and vote... especially comment, because I need input on the base (I\'m not really thrilled with it).

Thanks - Mark

Edit: Please check out my Warjack while you are at it Here.

Mark the base looks fairly sort of standard :D

If tit was me (I know it isn\'t, I have more flesh on me that that) I would have broken up the smoothness of the grass bank it looks very much like he is on a landscaped bank somewhere whereas the bit of skeleton on the base may have rolled down the hill rather than something else.

I take it you used green stuff or something similar to do the base?

Get yourself some cork tiles and make a small hill with the tiles on one side of the base you can still smooth off parts of it but by experimenting with cutting/tearing it to see how it tapers you can have some nice jagged out crop type pieces that will break up the smoothness of it.

Martyn.

Alright, here is my completed ME#4 mini from JakeSh. Thanks a bundle! He sent some other figures too, but I have commission painting that badly needs to be painted. The red looks like it needs highlights in the pictures, but it honestly is bright in person. That is annoying!:flame:

Here is the link to vote on it: Executioner

Fe-mail people can be pretty evil too, ya\' know.

@Wargriffon - I was actually going for something like this -

dune02.jpg

I wanted it to look like he was cresting a dune, with a skeleton and Egyptian-style statue revealed by recent winds. What I ended up with was that. It looked good when it was just greenstuff and I had the three models placed on the bese, but then when I added the sand it all went to shit. Does anyone know of a good desert-base tutorial? I think the base is really ruining that figure, and it was my first attempt at some sort of NMM.

Ah well... I\'m always experimenting. sometimes it works, and sometimes I end up with that.

@Leopardpixie - I didn\'t make it to the post today, in fact, I didn\'t even make it out of the house because I was a little under the weather. Tomorrow morning for sure, though.

@james9487 - that guy looks awesome, is he Reaper?

lingering at the back...

Well I got my package from Mick today for MEIII (this was actually intentional) and all I can say is

THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU

I got the old GW skelington metal chariot which I wanted for years and never got, sweet, and the cool dark elf sorcoress, and a RT era eldar with shoulder mounted weapon who looks mean.

Now where\'s my paintbrush got to?
