Miniature Mentor Allan C Video

So I logged on to CMoN today and MM had an announcement saying Allan C\'s video is out. Has anyone downloaded it yet that can give a reveiw?

I am holding out for the DVD, which I hope will work on my DVD player unlike Advanced Tutorials...

I just watched most of it... They use random Kraken minis not always the one in the picture. The sword part is excellent and covers Allan\'s take on metallics. It\'s worth it for that part alone.

Haven\'t watched the Cloth or face part yet. He paints just like JBT (plops down the paint, works it around...).

he doesn\'t use glazes or diluted paint?

yes he uses successive washes...the cloak was a wet blend however for the most part

the metals mostly washes as well

is the main video a collection of all the other videos put together or are they all seperate. I\'m planning on waiting for the dvd as well, but i don\'t know if i should pick up the other tutorials on white, black cloth and others.

Hold off on the advanced tutorials 1, it is not worth the money, in my opinion. The DVD on the wolfen is excellent though and completely worth its weight in gold

With the advanced tutorials, they are really what they say they are, per se. The black one really isn\'t black, the white isn\'t really white, and the other two are basics. However, don\'t let this discourage you, since they all have excellent info in them.
