miniature news sites please!

ok, ive been a internet hoor for quite some time and have ammased a nerdly collection of bookmarks that would make some people cry \"get some sun!\". now ive gots lots of mini sites bookmarked but it just struck me one thing that has basically eluded me is the best miniature news sites? i mean i know where to get the latest top coverage of computers, comics, games, music, action figures etc, but it just occured to me ive been using cmon as my miniature radar as to whats out for the public for new minaitures and im like...... i know im missing somethings right? just rpg books, new games, smaller miniature lines. i mean where does white wolf send news releases? well besides thier own site. so if any of you got any killer mini news sites please post the links and my ever swallowing horde of bookmarxs thanx you!

I don\'t think there are any sites that cover them all. I usually check the sites of manufacturers that interest me...

Terry likes to do updates for folks and announces things like event photos and new tutorials and things :D

I imagine there are others, but these are generally where I look for non-company specific news.

wow enworld looks solid, lots of coverage. ive seen the miniature page before, its cool, and thx for the link to ocean thats a fun little site.

i just toyed with the idea, of making a mini site dedicated to mini news like the miniature page. i wouldnt have forums or anything just the latest breaking mini news from companies, no ads, sharp graphics, not too heavy.

would anyone care? i mean id jump through the hoops of emailing every company i could and getting my site link out to all other sites so they could spread the word via personal sites etc.

maybe have some sort of section dedicated to ebay mini painters as that seems like a world in itself. im not sure how to approach that either, include a list of ebay shops n sites, or just sites? or would that turn into a big shitty list of links in which people wouldnt care? hmmm or maybe a seperate news area for current miniis on sale..... kinda like cmon i suppose so maybe its pointless but id like to offer more than just news.

okay i think id go this way, new minis news every day if i have news to post and then for mini painters they would just send me a email saying i have such and such mini for sale at soso.com and just a link to the mini.

for both id have a cut n paste submission form

am i crazy or just bored? i mean im used to going to news sites that cover industry news, am i crazy or would there not be a decent demand for this?

im just toying with the idea and work vs passion etc so eh any ideas would be helpfull.

okay, i just thought of a few side things,

i would accept mini sponsor links, not picture ads, , if it gets crazy id want to be able to cover costs. for additional content once the site is up and running id like to do interviews.

also any new company or startup mini business or personal painting site would get more than just a news shoutout, they get a whos who, and what there up to and a personal introduction.

I get all of my mini related news from TMP and Col. Marbles Miniatures Froth Zone at Frothers Unite UK Forums. Col. Marbles also does irregular showcases of new figures and along the lines of army themes. The latter can be handy when one is looking for a particular type of figure and doesn\'t care who makes it. I particularly like the Frothers, they are indescriminant in their pursuit of new figures and regularly post links and photos.
