i only have one thing to say: beware of the price not all of us have money to spend on this, i think everything more then 35$ for that product is overpriced.

think small grow fast :)

We do everything we can to keep the price as low as possible, but there is a lot of economics in the production of a cd like this.
But considering that the idea came from a wish to help people, we will off course do everything we can to press down the price.

I can tell that the software and hardware used to produce the CD costs close to 10.000 dollars (and no, I am not kidding, when you need something to make a product you are selling, you are really gonna pay for it...), add translations, proof reading, programmer, the cost to fabricate the cd, cover, secure payment server, license, travelling costs, etc... not even to mention the time used to do it...well when I think about how much we actually get from those 40 dollars it almost makes me wanna cry...

But is 40 dollars really that bad? -considering that you often pay close to 15 dollars, and sometimes more, for characters and other 32 mm single miniatures these days?

So true Rune ;). Plus consider also how people are so willing to pay for paperback paint guides. Considering all the time, effort, and talent that has gone into this, I think 35€/$40 is a good enough price for a multimedia painting guide/tutorial. Jérémie often gives painting lessons, and the prices are a lot more than that. If you want quality, you have to pay for it. Besides, Christmas is coming up, so just put it on your list ;).

This appears to be a very high quality product. It would take a LOT of work to put something like this together with all the high quality photos and videos in it.

I think the price is quite fine, actually.

You mention \"secure payment server\". You could probably avoid that and just use Paypal for being paid, no? Will you be taking paypal as an option for payment?

I think the price is fine, too... I just don\'t have $40us to spare for much of anything at the moment, unfortunately.

By the way, its still downloading, it\'s at 39% :D
*chuckles* I did have it paused for a little while though. ;)

The price looks fine, the interface is fine. If the content is as good as it looks then I think its a deal. And I kinda like the music!

Nice work. While the interface isn\'t amazing, the content is so that\'s what wins the day for me.

I\'ll be adding this to my son\'s Christmas list. He might even get a chance to use it :D

I tried to look at the demo, but got a lot of run time errors. I\'m sure it will be fixed in the completed version. Bythe way, when is it due?

Phew...

It\'s finally available for purchase from Kaple.dk now.

Sorry for the delay.

Just to sum up the finished product:

2 CD\'s containing, in essence, 1.4 gigabyte of tutorials and info about painting miniatures, wrapped in an easy interface.

It contains:

- Approximately 20 minutes of high resolution video.
- 20 Step-by-step guides with close up pictures.
- 7 in depth articles (color theory, cleaning minis, etc.)
- A miniature painter wordlist
- A gallery
- 5 languages, English, German, French, Spanish and Danish.
- All in all more than 400 pictures.
- Settings that remember, so that you don\'t have to turn the music off everytime you start. Unless you like it off course. You can adjust video quality, classic/electronic/mute music and language.

At this moment I don\'t think any books can compete with 5 languages or more than 400 pictures, not to even mention the videos... That\'s one of the great things about multimedia products, they can really contain a lot of information.

Oh and the price has been lowered a bit to 33 euro, and 38½ dollar including shipping

Cool, I think I\'ll definitely get this as soon as I can afford it.

What kind of cover is it in, CD cover or DVD cover?
