miniature painting DVDs

Saw the post on painting CDs and thought I might mention the fact we have had some DVDs on painting available for sometime. In total four hours of DVD quality video we have at full 66mins dedicated to nonmetallic metal. I just thought a few of you might be interested in comparing and contrasting with the painting CDs available. We are also open to suggestions on future DVDs we are considering a series on sculpting any thoughts?

I downloaded several of the clips available for free on the site. I can see where these videos may definately be worth the money.

I have Kaples Mini painting CD, and it is very nicely done. BUT the thing I like about these Steeldog videos is that the artist is talking through the demonstration, giving instruction the entire time.

It looks like there is a ton of info on them as well. They sell a \'multi\' pack, which included ALL the videos (and shipping)for less than 90 bucks (US Dollars).

I think I may have to get these.


EDIT...ok, I went ahead and ordered!!:rolleyes:

It looks nice.... I have a question though: If I buy a \"direct download\", what excatly will I get?

I went through the page and never found an email address to contact anyone (I could use the whois one though ;)). I found a telephone number, but I am not going to call considering the costs. Also, I don\'t understand what the \"subscriber\" thingy in the upper left hand corner does (as a test I entered my mail and Nick - Nothing happened) and the testimonials below link to an eBay feedback page where they are nowhere to be found at all. The gallery shows thumbnails which, when clicked upon, do not display the picture but rather the name again.
In a nutshell, the whole page is new and seems to be pretty much geared towards selling the DVDs only.

I hope you understand that I am a bit sceptical about all this....

thanks for the comments I have now added an e-mail address to the contact page. the e-mail subscription basically subscribe you to our video updates occasionally we will send you links to unreleased video footage. we don\'t send you e-mail without something worthwhile included. I admit it should have are subscription confirmed message but it doesn\'t and at the moment the e-mail tends to end up in the junk changing Web developers to try and solve this problem. As far as the eBay links go I don\'t understand the problem I have tested them and they link to the eBay users this just demonstrates they are actually real people. I know of many web sites where the fake testimonials are used in order to entice you to buy. I\'m hoping to be able to install copper mine PHP Gallery I\'m currently trying to work out how to create a database any help much appreciated. With copper mine installed the gallery will be much more comprehensive with the ability to post and rate images.

The direct download provides you with a divx file of the video about 500mb this is highly compressed DVD quality video. You don\'t receive a disk or anything through the mail. However the video is exactly the same as that provided on the DVDs and if you have a broadband connection provides a economic fast way to access the information we provide. You do however require a player capable of divx 6 playback one is available http://www.divx.com/divx/play/
