Due to the success of our last event The Windsor Gaming Resource has again teamed up with Hugin and Munin and Eastern Front Studios to bring you an afternoon of miniature painting on February 19th.
This will be a social event in which Windsor area painters and prospective painters can gather together to hang out, paint and share tips and tricks. No prior miniature painting experience is necessary and there will be seasoned painters on hand more then willing to show you the ropes.
Last time we had a bit of a problem with the mail service and didn't receive the Eastern Front Studios minis in time for the event. So what we did is save them for this event! Mick Leach of Eastern Front Studioss has generously donated miniatures for this event in celebration of the re-launch of Eastern Front Studios. We have copies of 4 different miniatures that will be free to the first 16 people to sign up. In addition Mick has generously donated 3 miniatures as prizes, one of which Eastern Front's Superb Odin Miniature.
Just like our last event, we want to keep thing fun and social. The goal isn't to turn this into a mini-Gold Demon painting competition and we expect prizes to be given for less serious things, then best painted miniature. We will have brushes and paints available for everyone to use, but if you wish to bring your own paints, or have your own brushes feel free to bring them. If you aren't interested in Painting an Eastern Front Miniature you are welcome to bring you own mini as well.
This event will be 100% free to participate in, but we do have a limited number of Eastern Front Studios miniatures to give out. Therefore we will be taking sign ups for this event. The first 16 people to sign up will receive a free miniature. People above and beyond this number are still more then willing to come out and see what painting is all about, bring their own mini to paint or just come to chat and meet other gamers.
The event is being hosted at Hugin and Munin, 1664 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor Ontario. on October 19th and will run from 1:00PM until 5:00PM

Note this event is starting right after our RPG Book Swap, where gamers will have a chance to trade in their old books and modules for stuff they can use! The Book swap starts at noon, so show up an hour early for the miniature event if you have some books to swap.
