Ive been trying to get this thing fully downloaded the past 4 days but this problem keeps occuring where the download will just stop at some point for no reason. My number of downloads allowed is declining rapidly and I dont want to miss out on any parts of the DVD. Is anyone else having this problem? And will I be able to get issued more download attempts if the problem persists? I managed to get the first 3 parts down but with only 1 download attempt remaining of the 7...meaning I tried 6 times before it actually downloaded. At this point I really wish I just waited for the hard copy....

Not to worry, we can up the download attempts. You may want to check with your ISP, they may be switching your IP address while you're downloading which would create a download failure. Where are you located?

We'll have alternate h.264 encoded files up by the end of the week that will stop the pink. Emails with the new links will go out to current owners, and your links will be updated in the downloadables area when that happens.

For owners of the HD download, you can now get a re-encoded version which should address any background/pink streaking in certain scenes. You should have received an email with a link to your shop account area that has the download links. If not, just make sure you are logged in and go to https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/index.php/downloadable/customer/products/ and the fresh links (and reset download count) will be right there.

Don't know if it's just me, but I'm still seeing large amounts of graphical noise and image distortions in the newly encoded files. As far as I can tell, the pink problem has gone, but the image quality issues are still there and I'm beginning to wish I'd chosen the DVD version instead of the HD download.

With the re-encoded files the only issue i have is in the beginning of chapter 4 part 2 the video totally freezes up but then resumes after about 10 seconds or so. I'm gonna re download that part to see if maybe it was just a bad file download. Maybe you should try using VLC player to view the files. I seem to have no issues with the video when i use VLC. The cool thing about that player is you can adjust every settting so if you see alot of noise in the image you can soften it. Its also a good idea to make sure you have the latest driver for your video card. I'm sure you know all this i'm just throwing it out there cause with the number of different file formats, codecs, players, drivers, etc. it can be a very fickle thing to get it all to sync up right.

Still having the same problems, I've updated my video drivers etc. and have tried Quicktime, DivX player and VLC, but it's still the same - here's an example :

We'll be going with a reencode with a higher bit rate for those of you with more hard disk space, which will double the size of the files but considerably improve the quality. I'd also suggest VLC player instead of Quicktime in most cases.
