I can\'t help it. I\'m a trouble maker. I just have to stir up some opinions on various topics. Here\'s my controversial blurts for today:
1. I don\'t spend time on bases. I just slap the closest base on, paint it dark green and speckle it with some tan. The miniatures don\'t seem to care on the gaming table.
2. I hate spray primer. I only use brush on black primer for various reasons.
3. I play the old Battlesystem skirmisher rules from TSR.
4. I frequently make conversions out of Heroclix figures. Hey, parts is parts.
5. I think they should make more Clan Wars miniatures, because Legend of the Five Rings is one of the best card/miniature/RPG\'s ever.
6. Dwarves are boring.
7. Elves are cliche.

See this is the problem with being new - you\'ve wasted all these potentially controversial topics in one message - if you had spread them about a bit you might have made posting freak by Xmaslol

In response:

1: I prefer simple bases too, though I think your approach maybe too simple even for me.

2: I hate spray primer too, though my colour of choice is white, also for various reasons.

3: I\'ve got the battlesystem rules somewhere! They weren\'t terribly detailed but were great fun! The joy of 6 ultra heavy cavalry destroying a unit of 15 dark elves one turn and then a unit of 6 ogres the next was something else.

4: Heroclix? Blah! :|~

5: ???

6: I quite like some dwarves.

7: I can live without elves.

I think that the answer to number 5 is Reaper is making Clan Wars Minis again. Not to be disturbing or anything like that. :D

not to be picky or anything but this particular group is completly comprised of anarchists.

in fact being anarchist here is conformist.

Elves are over rated. Anything that can\'t stand up to a +3 Mercurial greatsword isn\'t worth me roleplaying.
Now dwarves I can make interesting, but it takes a bit of powergaming.
Hey, spray primer is overrated too, especially the white spray primer, there\'s always a spot missed when painting.
If all your planning on doing is playing with the minis, then why bother doing a scenic base? Course it ticks me off that a mini can get below a 5 on this site, just because it doesn\'t have an interesting base. 5 means table top quality people! 3 colors and some sand are tabletop quality!

Don\'t you hate it when people claim they are anarchists? I mean, if everybody was, then we\'d never get anything done. You know what I really hate? Those shirts you get at Hot Topic that say stuff like \"You hate me because I\'m different, I hate you because you\'re all the same\" or whatever. You know what I like? The band Corrosion of Conformity. They kick ass. Buh-bye.

Elves & Dwarves

Dwarves aren\'t boring, in fact no mini is boring. The paint can make it interesting.

Elves are only cliche if you only look at one reference. They too can be made unique.

Just let your imagination roam free.

anarchy rules....

This is what I have gathered so far.

1. Don\'t stick to any one topic, jump around a lot so people think your \'really unsettled\'

2. State controversial statements that are really not all that controversial.

3. Repeat.

i prefer to live my life in an Anarchy-lite frame of mind. i conform where needed(get a job, pay bills, etc. . .) but everything else i do because i enjoy it not because it is what is cool or what is the \"in\" thing to do. i don\'t know a single other person in my area that paints for the enjoyment of it. everyone around here just paints what they have to for warhammer 40K and such. people don\'t seem to understand painting minis for fun. the only other real hobby i have is paintball and people look at me like im a freak when i try to talk about that. i feel like an outcast sometimes because i dont have \"normal\" hobbies ???

Maybe ill take up golflollollollol

To Supervike: I don\'t care what you think of my post, as I really am that unsettled. Nobody needs to prove how nerdy/cool/whatever here. Ya\'ll needed something interesting to talk about yesterday anyway.
To Grizzix: What kind of paintball marker do you use? I love my Tippmann Flatline, but I intend to get the A-5 Flatline sometime. I also like my paired Wolfpack pistols.
