View attachment 8300 This is the first mini I did after my painting hand recovered from a meeting with a 1 1/2 core box bit and a router table At work adding to my armied for now until the muscle control improves enough to start tackling display standards ;0) like I was painting to that standard before....lol

and this is the almost finished test model for the Vanguard veterans squad and a soon to be end of the marine painting for now because I need to try something else as things hopefully continue to progress.
All thoughts and input are welcome Thanks, Mike

Well, you definitely seem to have progressed a lot since that first mini, and it's not like it was bad to start with. My first impression of the last pic is that the base is quite strongly coloured and almost draws the eye away from the mini, although that's maybe just a personal choice. Other than that, some more shading on both the green and the bone (for contrast) and that's pretty much it. Very nice work. Good luck with the hand - I hope it's back on top form as soon as possible (and judging from the progress of these pics, it seems to be well on the way.)

Doing quite well! The hand appears to be on the mend. I think the harlequin effect you've got going is very interesting! Keep up the great work!
