I am interested in miniatures that have been produced from popular films, shows, novels, etc.

On CMON, Stuff of Legends and Ebay, I have seen the following:

LOTR (multiple companies)
Indiana Jones
Star Wars
Star Trek
Diablo II (PC game)
Battletech/Mechwarrior
Aliens
Forgotten Realms
Elric
Conan
Dr. Who

Any others you all have run across?

i have no idea how they get away with them but i don\'t care they are some of the best film etc minis you can buy

Thanks everyone! I mainly like 25 or 28 mm metal miniatures, but I might have to check out some of the bigger resin figures. They do look good online.

There was a line of minis from the comic Usagi Yojimbo a few years ago. I\'m painting one for a friend currently.

There were some DOOM minis from Reaper, there\'s currently a Starship Troopers line (though I can\'t recall the company), Leading Edge did Aliens, Bram Stoker\'s Dracula and Terminator minis back in the 90\'s, Ral Partha had the old Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance character sets, etc.

Would you mind pointing me in the right direction for finding a Usagi Yojimbo figure to paint? My best friend\'s a fan.

Thanks :)

I should have included these in the initial post, but I also have the Elfquest boxed sets from the 1980s. They are sculpted well (Julie Guthrie), but they are so small, I want to wait for my skills to improve before tackling them.

I also picked up two sets of miniatures from the movie The Dark Crystal recently on Ebay. Talk about a blast from the past.

Were there ever any miniatures from Tron?

They were produced by Dark Ages Miniatures in Battle Creek, MI. The web sites listed on the back of the blister are http://www.dragglestown.com and http://www.discounthobby.com ... both go to the discount hobby site and the search there shows no Usagi Yojimbo figs. I think you may be relegated to eBay at this point. Sorry.

Movies aren\'t mentioned anywhere and they sell aout 300 of those minis. I don\'t think hollywood as anything to ge too worked up about. Anyway a roman soldier is a roman soldier so it\'d be hard arguaing that it is russel crow :p

@hakoMike - which Usagi miniature(s) are you going to be painting? Only asking as I recently did a version of Katsuichi and Jotaro.

As for finding them now I\'d agree with eBay, but in my experience they\'re damn difficult to get hold of - especially the limited edition ones.
