Mint-flavoured Simple Green

Hey-howdy. Was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether this works as well as the regular Simple Green? The German website doesn\'t seem to sell the \"normal\" stuff, annoyingly, and I had absolutely no joy when I tried to register on SG\'s main site so I could buy some from over the pond. I got pissed off after being told \"You don\'t belong here\" several times on the registration page. :evil:

I think it should work just fine, I\'ve used both kinds and they do great each time.

Thanks! For a mad moment there I thought you were suggesting that I use Listerine to strip models, and I was transixed by the idea of people rinsing their mouths with something that could strip acrylic paint... I\'ve never played with brake fluid before, so I\'ll take your word for it. It sounds nasty.

After getting complaints about the smell of Dettol in the house while stripping models I bought some \"Odourless\" Dettol for the next batch. It doesn\'t work at all. Original Dettol works well though. Fairy Power Spay isn\'t bad either.

You might want to qualify this for those that don\'t live over here, to prevent confusion (fairies make a Power Spray?!?! )

Had a similar thing years back recommending Jif to clean off sculpts and castings prior to priming - in the US Jif is a peanut butter, not a surface cleaner lol

Just found out recently Listerine was used/sold as a Dandruff Cure back in the 40\'s & 50\'s.

I\'ve never been keen on having open/exposed Brake Fluid around as it can be seriously damaging to animals (and kids) if accdentally ingested.
And with a dog that likes to be beside me whatever I\'m doing that\'s just too much risk. It\'s bad enough just trying to get sawdust and wood shavings out of her coat.

Yeah- nothing upsets like an emergency trip to the vets or casualty. Personally, I\'m reluctant to use brake fluid because I want to strip some plastic minis, and also because I\'m positive that the German regulations regarding the storage and disposal of it are labyrinthine, and I\'m probably not insured enough if things go wrong!
