First miniature completed for Wyrd! More saturated colours and contrast. Nathan wanted it dark.. so I kept it dark! Think it suits the character.

I am right in the mist of writing a tutorial for it, you will hear more about that in the near future hopefully.

I like the cloth but the flesh and the face look a bit weird (or wyrd? lol) IMHO.

Lovely job Sven.

Its not your smoothest paint job but it has a great vibrancy. I think the skin is spot on and I take it the light blue highlights on the skin are painted?

Gets a 9 from me.

i kinda agree with tal tho, plus some extra shading where her left leg meets her robe at the bottom.

but so wot i love it and i bet you enjoyed doing it.

Nope it\'s not my smoothest job, but I\'ve tried some new things and made a few mistakes during the process, I will try to describe that in the tutorial as well. I did miss out on that extra shading though.. and that nags me a bit.

The flesh seem to be one of those things you either like or dislike. I wasn\'t going for realism in this case but an effect, I wanted the skin to sort of glow like it did on a few paintings me and seb saw at la louvre. So I went on and overdid the effect to see if the result would be somethings to try out more times, perhaps a bit more subtle. I\'m pretty pleased actually but if I would redo it now I would have done it a bit lighter though.

I think it\'s lovely and nice to see her painted up nice..I\'m just finishing my own and will post soon..have changed the freehand a bit as it was almost the same as this one but it does suit her well..
looking forward to that tut.....

Good one. Love the overall colorscheme. My one complaint would be the highlights on the flesh. They, on my monitor, have almost no color and thus it looks like she has frost on her.
