Standing up for Simon here...
Just have to say that he isn\'t currently claiming any sort of unemployment or housing benefit.
He is still painting little toy soldiers, as you have seen in Harbinger and probably on the Urban Mammoth website.
Can\'t comment on the anti-social habits though - I\'m sure everyone has those lol

Reverend. You have now made several statements against Simon (Sturmhalo) when you know he no longer has an account on Coolmini and cannot answer or refute those statements.
Whatever terms you and he parted company on, because he cannot respond your comments on here strike me as being somewhat gutless.
You have also made allegations which infer that Simon has been claiming benefits to which he is not entitled.
If you have proof of these then they should be taken to the correct legal authories, do not use this public forum to make such allegations.
If you have no proof and are merely \"Shouting off\" then you place yourself in the position of having commited either a Defamation of Character or a Libel in a public forum and this cannot be allowed to continue.

Bad choice of words Mike. I lived with the fella for a year and he was doing it during at least half that time. Defamation is not an issue when I\'m just telling plain facts. I didn\'t open a specific thread about this - I just responded to M Tay\'s question and elaborated somewhat. I must say Mike, you seem to be quite heavy-handed in this instance. Whatever rights you seem to be standing by (moral, the forum rules etc), they fall away somewhat when some bloke (like me) is telling the truth about some bloke (like Simon) who was blagging the dole and still working on the side. I ain\'t reporting him, and it certainly wouldn\'t have been sensible at the time it was happening as it would have been me, my girlfriend and my best mate who would have suffered financially in paying bills and rent and tax to cover the fact he had no funds due to being shopped in.
And as far calling me gutless, that\'s fair enough. But he knows how I feel about it anyway. I wish he did post here still as I\'d like to hear him respond some way or another. However, he won\'t come here as he hates virtually all of you anyway. Me probably more so. The only person he had time for really was Fizl, and fair play to her for standing up for him. However, she ain\'t lived with the fella for a year and seen him in action. I reserve that right Mike!

Rev - Didn\'t know you two were no longer mates, I enjoyed both of your posts tremendously. Damn shame it ended badly...
Mike - I don\'t think Rev was saying anything that he wouldn\'t say if Simon were here, he\'s a prick no matter who\'s in the room.
Shaz - Glad to see someone jump to Si\'s defense, artists tend to be an emotional and unpredictable lot. Usually, the higher the talent, the higher the eccentricity... and ol\' Sturmy is VERY talented...
I hope the recent heavy-handedness around here isn\'t a trend... next we\'ll all be expected to be PC. lol

I had a very long post here originally, but then the internet ate it; suffice it to say that since my father passed things have been... challenging.
Mike- My comment wasn\'t aimed at you, actually, but the general trend lately to close a thread when people say things others don\'t wish to hear. And it\'s not so much the mods; members are requesting threads be closed! It\'s like television - if you don\'t like whats on change the channel. No one is forcing anyone here to read threads against their will. I have avoided threads myself because I found the topics have hit a nerve, it\'s not so hard. And yes... there are things EVEN I don\'t like talking about.

Well, not to stir things up, but my friend (the I hate CMON guy) actually chatted with Sturn Halo.I think it was about soccer or something. I think those two would have become best buddies if it wasn\'t for the atlantic ocean seperating them. Thats really scary sincethey are so much alike.

Let me clarify something for everyone. Phil (Reverend) did not get his hands slapped, get ranted at nor was there any other form of unpleasant discussion. If I have given that impression then I was WRONG.
