I was going to find some others in the CmoN gallery, but the browse function doesn\'t seem to be working ???

Maybe a tiled floor effect, like a church mosaic, that would be pretty cool.

oo ooo ooo

Preacher you say, megolomaniac says i,

Well if you want to be adventurous you could do him standing on a sinking church spire with the \'Water effects\' wave rushing by?

You could have books piled arounf him on the roof like he saved them?

as if he has been cought in a sudden down pour?

Just an idea but you might need more time for that,

Cheers Iain.

Are you limted to a standard gaming base? If so, you won\'t have much room for water effects. Probably best to think about adding some height to him, maybe standing on and alter or pile of books (or traditional soapbox could be fun).

the whole book idea sounds cool :D I will be working some with scripts on this mini. I will do some script on the robe aswell :)

Bignastyshark\'s idea was very good I think... but I\'m not quite sure yet... it might enter a comp. so I must be absolutely sure ;)

here I tried to make it look a bit dirty and damaged :) also very pleased with the result as it\'s the first time and all :D

I think it\'s a real shame with the cloak, it\'s so badly sculpted imo.

the flames are scratch built, very pleased with them aswell :)

now I am quite curious what you guys think (it is not quite finnisehd though). I have allready got some top advices for some changes :)
regarding the face... it may look brown (a reaction from a friend). but irl I think it looks goog :) but I might enhance the brightness in the face :)
I really hope you guys will comment ;)

Nice metallics and flames! Something what you really have to work on is not to scrap the paint off. :p

What competition are you entering?

The metals look pretty nice, and I like the base, but the rest has room for improvement I think.

The big issue I have is that the face doesn\'t have any punch about it. It fades away rather than standing out. The green on the inside of the cloak doesn\'t really work for me and isn\'t helping with making the face pop. It\'s at odds with the rest of the palette so draws the eye.

The back of the cloak is messy to be honest. Perhaps some dark washes over it to fill the recesses would help out a bit.

The red robes could also do with a little more depth.

The fire isn\'t bad at all, but it could be smoother. This tutorial doesn\'t quite have that dirty flame look going on that you have gone for by working it up to black, but the technique works a treat.

I agree about the face and the green robe. Those are my major qualms. The rest is looking pretty good.

okey, I am enetring the fang in stockholm.

yeah... I was a bit unsure about the cloak. have any suggestions of colours that would fit the cloak. and the back on the cloak is just drybrushed atm.
more depth on the robes means more highlights, righ? that I will do! :D
I will also clean up the fire a bit...

I have some work today the ;)

I appreciate all the good criticism :)

Or more shadows :p For the red robes try washes or glazes of purples and browns, maybe mix them. You will gain more contrast and the highlights will look brighter without going neon bright.

If im stuck for a colour to shade with, just whack a bit of purple into the main colour, always works, purple is a bloody wonder colour!
