mixing GW foundation paints for space wolves army?

hi all,

am looking to make a space wolves army and asked for some tips on a palette to use but i am limited to GW paints(different topic).

thanks to RuneBrush for answering who suggested mixing dark grey foundation with shadow grey as a basecoat but seem to remember reading somewhere that the foundation paints dont mix well??

if anyone can shed light on this or has a different suggestion? - many thanks

All the foundation paints I\'ve used seem to mix fine. You just have to remember that they have more pigment compared to normal paints so use less of them.

Yep they mix just fine with other acrylics. As Undave said just use less of the foundation paints in your mixes as the colors are much more concentrated.

You\'ll just need to stir them a bit more often if you have a large amount on your palette at one time; they tend to separate a bit from the high amount of pigment in them.

you could also cut the shadow greay out and use the two foundation paints astronomicon grey and charadon granite... I quite like that as a wolfy basecoat.....
