Modeling slate

Does anyone know a good commercial source in the US for slate. I have looked in every hobby shop in my area and most of the hardward stores, I just can\'t find it.

Try a garden centre... if US garden centres are anything like UK ones, you\'ll be able to buy graded slate (here it costs about £3.00-£5.00 for 25Kg)

If it\'s for bases you don\'t necessarily need slate.

Neat idea but I think its still cheaper to buy a couple of slate tiles and use them.
