Modelling Workstation

Hi folks!

One of CMONs prodigal sons here...

I'm looking to buy another workstation as I want to start another project.....(I'll let you know if I ever finish anything...;))

Now, I know GW and Humbrol both do a nice plastic tea-tray type affair but, before I blow a wad on one of these I would like to know if there's anything better available?

Thanking you in throbbing anticipation....:D

The MDF ones eventually warp and get all nasty from water and paint spills.
Liquitex aerosol gloss varnish followed by Dullcoate works wonders. The Liquitex is intended for protecting graffiti art so is kinda tough.

the logo is ethced in(for the HZ one). So if you prime it thinly enough (like you should in this hobby) and use thin enough paint (also a must in this hobby) then it'll remain visible.
Also you could shade the whole thing and help reading by using a complimentary color to paint the letters :D

Thanks for those links Zab.
There's some nice stuff there....As usual however, postal charges make it a non-starter...Perhaps if I could make up a big enough order to qualify for free postage?

In the meantime it looks like a Humbrol tea tray from Amazon ;)
