I've been wanting to do this for years and years so I'm really looking forward to buildings stuff for it. Plus I've been getting stuff for it since forever it seems. (my GF will be happy to get her laundry table back so it's a double plus)

That bad fairy is a cool looking model and your colors on the demon chick are sooooo smoooooth! Do you use an air brush on the entire mini to ahieve this?

I also picked up that garden of morr set (first GW mini i have bought in 10 years) as it looks like a very cool gaming piece. The progress looks good.

garden of morr is actually well worth the money. i bought it mostly for the poles and fences, but much of the other stuff look great too. kind of one skull too much though, but no surprises there.

anyway, looks great on the table moetle!

@KruleBear I airbrush most the parts that i can (i just started using one). I do the eyes and fix all the little mess ups with a brush. I see your from the land of flat hills and rolling miles of corn (illinois), wearbouts you from if i may be so nosey? Oh, the bad fairy is based of off the painting called "black tinkerbell" by Luis Royo. I have two other kits based off his artwork but they are...complicated...

@SkelettetS Thank you sir, your input is most appreciated.

The garden is a great set and if someone wanted to make it into a showpiece the details are there for it. I just wanted something quick for my table. Speaking of that.....

Got the edges on and the foam fits nice and tight so swaps with be sturdy and easy and can set it up for 2 x 2 foot sections:
IMG_0253.jpg

Dug out some stuff i'd had for a while from one of the boxes and found this old forgeworld piece and one i did myself like 15 years ago:
IMG_0255.jpg

While looking for other stuff this guys flew out of a box and tried to bite me!
abbadon.jpg

And for my next trick......Promethium from Peanuts! (this isn't my idea, i stole it from a model train builder who stole it some someone else etc etc).
Take a couple cans like so and glue them to some foamboard for stability:
IMG_0259.jpg

Grab some of that brass rod you got at the hobby store but never found a use for:
IMG_0260.jpg

Turn them into candy cane looking things the length of your can (i went just a tad longer, better to be too long then too short. That's what she told me anyways :p ) :
IMG_0263.jpg

Glue them to the can and put them "about" an inch apart. I forgot to take a picture of that part sorry, but you will get the idea in a bit.
Next take the extra brass rods and cut them the length need to stretch to both bars like so:
IMG_0264.jpg

I didn't measure anything i just eyeballed the ladder rungs, but anyways start gluing them to the rods like so:
IMG_0265.jpg

and BAM! You have storage tanks that your lizard things can crawl on:
IMG_0266.jpg

Course after you paint it and put some gravel or whatnot they will look a lot better. I used like $2 in materials to make those. Hope that helps someone else in the future to bling out their table :)

I'll probably be working on that a lot since i got the time and trying to come up with some good terrain ideas (or steal someone elses off the net mohahahahaha).

Hmmm...i will have to add those ladders to my old chemical tank farm piece.

Royo...now it clicks which explains why i like the piece and will have to dig out his photo compilations when i get home.

I have been in central Illinois for 21 years ( cries a little bit) in the Decatur area. Hope to get back to my roots in northern Michigan at some point where there are trees as well as corn fields.

Yeah Illinois is probably one of the worst states in the union.Looks like your about an hour and a half away from me. I'd invite you for a game but that's too far.

Tell me about it! I generally get to game once a year at the Winter War in Campaign or Pentacon in Fort Wayne, indiana. Mostly historical battles...but where i played Warmachine. Anyway, one of us needs to get some painting done and i do not think i will be free at my paint area for a couple more weeks.

@William T. I'm keeping Abbadon for the day I'm worthy of giving it a proper paint job. It's a really marvelous sculpt that, imho, was ahead of its time, and is still pretty awesome today. And thank you for the comments!

@KruleBear I used to drive that just to play 40k once a week but can't do that anymore. I've always wanted to try warmachine as i bought the starter set and i like the sculpts, but i dont want to get into yet another giant army :p

Small update:

The call of nurgle was getting to me and i wanted to finish the sculpting part so i can get them primed tomorrow morning. so here ya go, Bad phone pics away!

I wanted the puss bubuos somewhere on his body and that looked like a good place. I think i may write a short story about this guy. He is throwing a lot of ideas at me.

Lol i think you mean "chicks". You can get the dark elf lineage "chicks" from E2046.com. They are the only company that makes them. Takes about 3-4 weeks to get your order though. The sculpts are almost flawless.

Greater daemon of pappy nurgle:
IMG_0208-1.jpg

I wanted a slightly more angry pose with a tad bit o action. Hope i achieved this. Added some hooks to make it look more like a weapon as well:
IMG_0208-1.jpg

IMG_0209-1.jpg

And to break the single mindedness of alot of the same coloured models i will be finishing her base:
IMG_0211-1.jpg

Going to try and make it look like she is in a cave or something. Kinda making it as i go.

Silly question, anyone know how to change my avatar? I cant seem to find it in the account settings.

Update:
My Nurgle army will be the Puss Pox Pague marines an off shot of the Deathguard Plague marines who Regenerate themselves in a cannibalistic (humans) reverse osmosis kind of way. When the Right DNA is absorbed it garners a state of exstacy that granted a wink from another chaos god, Slaneesh. The leader of this army is the daemon prince Malgathor the Wise.
Funny what goes through your head when your painting your mini's eh?
RARR!!!
