Thanks guys and your welcome Zab.

Progress.... and yes, those ARE select a size paper towels.

Sabretooth Cerberus is done cept the base.

Jackalope done....This thing is the size of a dime. Getting a decent picture was impossible with the phone. I'm not going to try to break out the light tent and try for better pics till the crew is based.

Cojo the mutant Gorilla. I couldn't think of what color to make him so a friend suggested Grape Ape. I built up various purple shades with the airbrush up to the lightest. Pic is blurry but you will get the idea:

I then went over all the "shadow parts" with a dark green.

It was a little too eye popping to me so I then glazed over the whole thing with some brown to tone it down a notch.

I then started bringing the Highlights back out a bit with the airbrush.

Added some details.

And the end result of Cojo AKA Grape Ape on crack.

C and C welcome.

Those are awesome, the minis I mean (I also use select a size as well, but I only rate them as rad).

Yeah these looks great!

As far as critique goes i might like to see one more highlight on the Gorilla and Jackalope (which I love!)...but the picture might not be the greatest. And maybe a little more yellow on the sabretooth?

But these look really good!

Thanks guys!

KB, I don't think I am up to his level yet :p

10ball, how would i achieve that effect? got a good tut handy?

Demi, the pics do suck. One of my friends, one of these days (like when we will one of these days get to that mini), is going to show me proper picture taking.

Marcus' crew "the Claw and Fang" is finished.

I think I liked kitty up front.

I wish I had taken this at a different angle. Oh well.

C and C welcome.

Hmmm, the Red backgrounds not helping on the photo's unfortunately and I'd definitely like to see a better shot of the Male character (forgotten his name).

Yeah Moe, I think the red background is beating the crap out of your purples and browns. You know, parchment paper that comes in rolls and works so nicely for the wet pallets makes a really nice photo background. Just a little satiny and sort of translucent.

Ok the red background was a bad idea. I thought since I didn't use any red in the paint up it would help the mini's stand out more.

Marcus is the black characters name, DR. First time I've tackled that type of skin tone. I thought it came out well.

Thanks for the tip, Demi. I have a lot of that stuff somewhere....

Sorry ten, but what is UHU glue?

Thanks guys!

KB, you should see the stuff on the other table :p

Progress:

I didn't want to do the metallic or detail work till the bases were complete. Also I didn't want to do the typical "Rails for the Rail crew". Based on the fluff though I could see Ramos having them helping him clean up after a mine collapse or one of his experiments gone awry or something along those lines. Not sure how far or where I will go with these but, I have a ton of tiny gears for stuff like this.

Marching on!

The woman flying through the boken timber is neat, i had not noticed that mini before. How about some closeups of these guys? The skin looks pretty nice as best i can zoom.

And i have been hiding things in boxes, so they can not stare at me with those unfinished eyes...i will not be shamed in my p laziness.

Yes but you can never drown out their tiny muffed cries of "incomplete! incomplete! incompleeeeeete!"

What are all those browns in your palette for moe?
